Posted: Mon Jul 04, 2011 8:02 amInstead of the top two from each group going to the playoffs, do you think you could expand the number of players in each group going to the playoffs?
It seems like two spots out of the 28 in each group is not enough. You could run into a situation in the second half of the tournament when both playoff spots are locked-in and unreachable for the other players and there would be no reason for the other 26 players to continue.
It's your tournament, so it is your decision either way.

Posted: Mon Jul 04, 2011 6:41 pmi agree with superkeener. 2/28 is a pretty small sample and could create apathy for those who lose their first few, as advancing will probably require about 18-20 wins, maybe more.

I really like this tournament, especially the quantity of 1v1 games, I would like to see round 2 to have some depth to it especially with 28 players per bracket
