Welcome to Top of the Charts!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary of Game Load and Charting
In each round you will play 2 sets of 5 games each for every single you have in the chart. So if you reach the Top 10 in Round 1, you can expect 2 sets of 10 games in Round 2 as you'll have two singles out.
Charting is based on number of wins, with tie-breaks settled by CC Score in Round 1, and in future rounds by how well the single charted in the previous round.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This tournament has a musical theme and will consist entirely of 1v1 games on Random Map.
Premium only please (5 games at a time) with 97% attendance or higher.
All games will be:
1v1, Random Map
Automatic
Sequential
Escalating
Chained
Sunny
The Scenario
The plan between you and your record company is to release up to 5 singles over the year, as long as they do well!
Format
EDIT: Please see red text for edits to the format to make tie-breaks less common.
For each single you have in each round you will play 2 batches of 5 games against random opponents. You will score points for winning games, and bonus points for getting a high chart position at the end of the round. Everyone will start with 1 single, therefore 2x5 games per round.
There will be 12 rounds, one to represent each month of the year.
Outcome of Results
If your single makes the Top 10, the record company are delighted and will rush out your next single (you can have up to 5 singles).
If your only current single fails to make the Top 40, your brutal record label drops you and you’re out of the tournament!
If a single fails to make the Top 30, your record label decide that they like you as an artist, but feel it was the wrong single, so it will be withdrawn from the shelves and your next single will be released instead. If you run out of singles, the record label feel you’ve run your course and you get eliminated.
