Isn't the scoring system for this round to be revealed? I just took a risk for a first elimination inn a game because that is often worth points. Are we allowed to know how we will be scored other than winning is generally better than losing?

Sorry, I don't look here often unless I receive a PM. As you can read from the rules for this round:
SiriusCowKing wrote:Each win gives 1 point.

My apologies for not clarifying this earlier but the player with the most kills is considered the winner. If a player wins due to the round limit being reached, he still get a kill out of each remaining players in the game. I'll send that out in a PM to everyone to ensure no more confusion. Next time you have a question, don't hesitate to send a PM, I'll see it better this way. As for the current score, I'll post an update either when all 15 games are done and I am about to create the other 15 games for round 1, or you know, when I'm bored, lol.

Round 2: The board game

show: the board

show: the moves

A virtual game board will be created based on the number of players left, a visual representation will be posted in the thread. Each player must send their move through PM to the co-organizer and have 24 hours to do so. Once every actions are in, the results will be posted.

Players may move horizontally, vertically, or diagonally up to 1 space away. If two players reach the same space, they will fight a set of 3 games. The winner of the best of 3 gets 2 points, the loser is out of the game but retains his points accumulated so far. If three or more players move to the same space, they will bounce each other and will not move this turn.

Special spots will be marked on the board. Each spot gives a special card that enables a special action. These actions includes all sorts of things such as moving further in a single turn, preventing other player’s movement, creating obstacles or even getting some free points. Each player starts with a free random special and will get another one at turn 4 and 7.

Settings for the 1v1 games: 2 players, standard, random map, escalating, chained, no fog, no trench, 20 rounds limit

Score and cards

Clarifications on the rules:

You may use a single card and move in a turn.

You are not forced to move.

If you kill a player, you steal his card.

Please send your moves to Gabsensei, the co organizer. If you send them to me well, I'll know your moves.

Cards used and their effects will be anounced publicly, along with who played them.

Communications between players are fine, as long as they are within this thread. Although you might want to send a PM so that the player checks the forum to read your message, lol.

Sent through PM:

Hello, it has been several turns now that players have not sent their moves, and you have not sent yours this turn. At this point I assume some people simply doesn't want to participate to this round of the tournament. If you do not reply to this PM, I will assume that you do not wish to participate anymore and will be dropped out of the board. If enough players are dropped, this will result in a series of tie breaker games, and may result in you getting eliminated from the tournament. You have 24hours to respond.

As there are so many players eliminated with no points and the target number of player to eliminate from the tournament is 2, there will be a set of tie breaker games. The rules are simple: set of 3 1v1 games, the loser moves forward. The 2 big loosers will be eliminated from the tournament.

Round 4: 1 man clan!

Each player selects 2 maps and settings, one of which has to be poly(3) and the other one has to be poly(4). The settings may not go against the fixed settings for this round, the maps selected cannot be twice the same and cannot be random map, but it can be the same as other players. Each player will play against 3 random players on their home maps, their away maps, and a tie breaker. The winner of each best of 5 gets 1 point, but each win counts to determine who is eliminated.

Settings for the tie breaker: poly(2), random map, no spoils, chained, fog, no trench

The fixed settings: 2 players, automatic, sequential, no zombie, no nuclear, no unlimited, no “no fort”, 20 rounds limit

You have 1 week to post your maps.
