The King is Dead (Rescued)

New thread: The King is Dead

The King has just died and he left no heir. Each fieflord must now fight to unite the kingdom and become the new king. In order to defeat another lord you must take his lands, his castle and his head...Do you have the blood that is worthy enough to unite the kingdom and establish a new dynasty? If you have the nerve, the skill and the honor, then you could be king!

The kingdom is divided into 28 fiefs. There are also 8 surrounding fiefs that have paid tribute in the past, that are open for conquer during this chaotic time. Each has a lord that rules over it in the king's name. With no king, anarchy rules. To unite the fiefs you must first defeat the enemy on the field of battle. This portion of the war will be fought on the feudal war map. The winner will then lay siege to the loser's castle. This portion of the war will take place on the siege map. Then once the walls are breached the attacker must find the beaten lord in his castle to take his lands. This portion of the battle will take place on the Draknor: level 1 map. Once the vanquished is beaten on the Draknor map, then he is eliminated from the tournament.

Settings will be sequential, flat cards, chained forts and sunny.

For each fief owned entirely (lord vanquished) a fief lord can attack another fief. Example if one lord owns Poland and Prussia then that lord could attack any fiefs that are able to be attacked by those fiefs such as Denmark and Hungary.

If the lord defending his castle is able to sally forth and defeat the attacker then the battle will return to the feudal map. If he is able to win there then the battle will be over.

show: Tournament Map

When signing up for the tournament please choose which fief you would like to govern. They are listed here. Each fief can only attack other fiefs that it is adjacent to. The mountains and rivers will hamper travel and armies cannot cross them. Any coastal fief can attack another coastal fief. North coastal and South coastal fiefs cannot attack one another.

show: Territory List

There will be phases established so this will run smoothly.

Phase I Declarations Phase: Each lord will send a PM to me announcing which fief will attack which neighbor. If no attack is chosen then the fief will remain neutral that round. Should multiple fiefs attack one then all armies will fight on the feudal map and the victor shall lay siege to the castle, unless the defender wins in such case the battle is over. Due to the limitations of the feudal map if more than six fiefs (different players) attack the same fief then the attackers will be divided into the fewest number of feudal maps possible and each victor will then attack the defender on feudal map.

Phase II Battle Phase: Battles are fought and next options are determined. Lay siege to castle or catacombs or sally forth. The defender must push the attacker back to feudal and defeat him there to claim victory.

Phase III Clean Up Phase: siege and catacomb battles are set up and executed. Once a winner is determined then the next round will take place.

This tournament is going to be complex. Be patient with time delays as multiple battles may occur on certain rounds. Open to premium players only as the number of open battles could swell to the double digit range if multiple attacks are requested.

Your Glory awaits my Lord!!!

Baden would only have one enemy, but trapped...so stupid? you be the judge.

And it is complex so a little confusion is expected in the first round. The players will pick it up quickly once they get the feel for it.

sign me up for Brandenburg, but...

House Hohenzollern was the electorate dynasty of Brandenburg (later Brandenburg-Prussia), second, it wouldn't be king, it would be emperor, as this seems to take place mostly within the area of the Holy Roman Empire (a few exceptions). Just my thoughts, I probably made a mistake :)
