I disagree with this actually...

In this instance it might look like the continents are numbered 1-6 - and people would ask - why have you numbered 2 continents 4?

C.

Agreed, yeti... I'd rather risk having a bit too much information than not enough.

Oaktown I'm a big fan of your maps and this one looks like another sweet piece of work. Well done! I'm sorry if this has been suggested before, I don't have time to read through all the thread, but is it possible if the border lines between each of the ocean bonuses could be ever so slightly thicker, so that they are more clear. Thanks!

I'll play with the glow on the borders to try to make them stand out a touch more... some of the shorter borders get lost.

My only quibble is this; This is the world based on a fish's perspective, yet the oceans and seas are divided based upon our perspective of them. I believe that a map would really be divided by the coral reefs, gulf streams, deep open ocean, and maybe a few ship graveyards. And this, I believe would warrent a much larger map. Again, just a quibble, because it really is a nice map.

LOL - I'd totally forgotten about my comment about this being the earth as seen by a fish! Clearly the perspective changed as the map took shape... now it's the earth as seen by a 16th century printer in a small room in Bavaria. This one, perhaps...

changes: borders between territories made a bit darker to make them more identifiable against the seas.

I was going to do a whole thing with giving them a glow (yet one different from the region border glow) but this seems to have done the trick... in a side by side comparison the current borders are considerably easier to see, in my opinion.

Oh!, Well, then is it too late to ask for the Northwest Passage? It's not real, but it is the 16th century. Or maybe do ya'll think that it is a bit to hokey?

we talked that one out a while ago... we came to the agreement that since there was no northwest passage until global warming made it so, it shouldn't appear here. Plus, at this point it would disrupt the play of the map - bonuses and attack routes and such - so I'd rather not mess with around.
