What about magic? This is Tamriel after all. there is such a spell as night eye.

Useless spell, never bothered with it, heh.

Well once everyone gets a play test or two in, we'll chime in on if there are better positions, I could maybe think of a few though, but we'll see how everything turns out.

I soon will have an open spot, and will hopefully get to play test your map. I'll chime in with my own thoughts later once that is going on, and then if there is a general consenus among quite a few people some changes can be implemented.

They are extra bonuses. If you hold the blue continent for example you get the standard bonus of 5 i believe. If you hold the country with the blue flag as well, you get another 2 armies added.

What does everyone think of the bonus values? I'm not sure, but i think they're a bit high, any thoughts?

Doesn't matter that they're high, it's hard enough to get a hold of an entire country then get the embessy as it is!

It's worth the reward for managing it.

My main concern is with Summerset isle and thorn being three. they seem to be captured very easily, and consistently. Plus its not too difficult to take summerset isle's embassy, making that a bonus of 5

ok i wanna tell u now, this is one of the best maps that came out, love the embassy idea its a nice touch, the colors are well done, u can easily see the country bonuses and tell which colors they are, the whole thing has a great look to it,
i give it 2 thumbs up great job.

Hmm. It is true that that's how the one game I've played in on that map went: one player got Summerset and its embassy early on, had a strong lead for most of the game, and ultimately won. Dunno if this really means anything, but it's more anecdotal evidence, at least.

Curiously, in my first game there (still playing), I got Summerset Island, and I started already with its embassy... It can happens too... If I would need take it, it will be very hard. Anyway, if yellow continent has a embassy, because of its central position, we always will have guys talking that its easy take that country... Of course, it could be a embassy of a more difficult continent... but not now, I want win first.

From what I've seen so far, the bottom half of the map is extremely powerful.

Tamriel map bug

Postby Scorba on Sat May 20, 2006 11:28 am

In game 21833 I got the bonus for holding Hammerfell's embassy, which appears to be located in Thorn, despite my opponent holding that country.
Taking an enemy on the battlefield is like a hawk taking a bird. Though it enters into the midst of a thousand of them, it pays no attention to any bird other than the one it has first marked.

You did a good job, mate. I especially like the embassies, a nice touch.

The mountains seem a bit too shiny to me, but that's just my opinion. They're alright.
