Week 10 games sent outChicago Bears fire coach RipRock - BenKenobie steps in as new head coachOur second mid-season coaching change finds the 2-5 Bears looking for a spark from new coach BenKenobie to keep them in the playoff hunt. A Week 14 victory over division leading Packers will be key.
One, Two, THREE Division leads change hands after Week 9Ravens, Panthers, and 49ers all won this week taking leads from the Steelers, Bucs, and Rams (respectively) by way of better division records. Three teams battle for the AFC North, while the NFC South and NFC West are any team's for the taking - with no team more than 2 games out.
Same goes for the AFC West, where the Broncos upset the Steelers in my Week 9 Spotlight with a quick, confindent victory.
Week 10 Spotlight A - With the Steelers hosting the 2-6 Bengals at home, the Ravens must win on the road against division rival Browns, who sit just one game out themselves. A Browns win and Steelers loss puts the AFC North in a three way tie.
Browns winBengals lead, but Steelers are driving and look poised to scoreWeek 10 Spotlight B - The undefeated Cowboys go on the road to face the 6-2 Packers. After a strong showing over the Bucs last week, you can bet the Packers will be looking to make a statement by upsetting the Boys, who certainly can't rest yet, with the Skins hot on their heels.
Cowboys winOther notable games: To stay in the mix, the 4-4 Saints must win on the road against a dangerous 6-2 Rams team.
Saints win A Ram's loss would give the 6-2 Niners, who don't know what to expect from Kenobie's Bears, some breathing room as the Niners look for their second straight home win.
Niners winThe 5-3 Panthers are also at home, with another important divisonal matchup and a chance to strengthen their division lead, even if the Bucs win on the road against the hapless Dolphins as expected.
Panthers winThe 6-1 Redskins host the 5-3 Broncos who have won 3 games on the road this season and will need to make it 4 to hang on to the AFC West.
Broncos win Though the 4-4 Chargers are technically at home this week, they host a 2-6 Eagles team who's only 2 wins have come on the same Arms Race map, so a Chargers win is far from guaranteed.
Eagles struggle with multiple delay of game penalties and may forfeit the game. Meanwhile the Chiefs and Raiders face off in what could be a make or break game for their playoff hopes. The Raiders hold a slim advantage at home, where they've won 2.
Raiders winThe Seahawks hope to end their 4 game skid with a road win over the Cardinals. A 5th straight loss might put their playoff hopes in to the cruel hands of fate.
Lastly, the 5-3 Jaguars head to NY where the 6-2 Jets are undefeated. The Jaguars, however, have won 3 on the road and need another win to fend off the Colts.
Jets winWeek 9 stragglers:
Redskins hold a small lead at halftime - on the road over the Falcons in the Monday Night matchup.
Update: Skins hold a strong 20 point lead over the Falcons. Barring a miracle -
Redskins winKenobie takes the reigns looking for his first victory at home hosting the Cardinals.
