TEMPORARY FIX FOR BOB

Postby chipv on Sun Jan 17, 2010 2:20 pm

Ok there is a problem with BOB affecting a lot of you.

I am temporarily hosting a fix until it is corrected.

BOB uses a jquery library, the latest version of which is causing problems (it appears to be missing components).

Here is a link to the fix:

http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/66657.user.js

UNINSTALL old BOB first. Then install this version.

When BOB gets officially fixed you will need to uninstall this temporary fix before reinstalling new BOB.

The code is identical aside from pointing at a decent version of the jquery library.

Great work Chip,

Ah I see - they've upgraded Jquery and that's breaking stuff...

ONLY DO THIS IF YOUR BOB IS ACTUALLY BROKEN...

If your BOB currently works - then you have a good version of JQuery and you don't need to do this.

Mine still doesn't work, when I go into a game it just says "Initializing BOB" and it gets stuck there. Do I need to uninstall Greasemonkey as well??

You do need the latest version of greasemonkey, so try uninstalling it and reinstall also.

An incompatible version of jquery, just when I went on vacation? Damn, just my kind of luck. I'll see whether I can fix it now.

the only problem I have with Bob is since the last site update a couple weeks ago, the script runs in slo mo. To deploy and attack and even leaving yourself comments seems to "lag" and not run at full speed.

Chipv, thanks for helping with this version, those who update BOB should get a working version again now (there a still a few installs a day). Couldn't test it though, internet-cafe with a slow connection. I'll be back on the 29th, and I won't be online much (this was my second time actually since the 9th).

No problem at all. I tested your version for you and it works fine, so I will unlock the BOB thread and redirect people back at the official BOB script, thanks a lot.
