Cool cool. I dunno, I initially intended to make a rev. war map and it was a little more complex that it is right now. But it went towards 13 colonies for some reason that I forgot... it was like a year ago. Elijah S made a 1776 map that was probably more to your liking, here's the link: viewtopic.php?f=242&t=86422&start=45

But the images are gone for some reason perhaps you can read up on it and pm him for a look at the drafts. Maybe even convince him to retake up the project...

Alright, after a few tweaks I got the confirmation that my XML is good. Gimme some ink please? Or do I have to do something else?

Also, I'd appreciate any nitpicks regarding the positions of the number coordinates. I think they're alright but I'm open to the idea of adding army circles back in... thoughts?

The circles tend to help, in cluttering up a map, and IMO, should only be used if they are needed. I can read the armies fine, so I do not think they are needed.

This is true. Maybe you could make the triangle shaped sails a little larger, then you could nix the circles, and put the numbers on the sail.
Or maybe just make the ships larger, then the flags would be closer to scale. BTW, the Brit. flag seems larger than the French ones.

The sails are an optical illusion rooted in the different between the way the wind blows them.

And I didn't exactly draw the ships so messing with a tiny bit, like the sails, would probably be more problems than its worth. Thanks for the thoughts tho.

Thanks again Nobodies, I made all of the suggestions and played with the Bunker Hill... essentially what happens is that the discrepancies it has with Exeter just get moved to new discrepancies with Rhode Island. Rhode Island can't be moved around at all cause of its size. I think it should be ok though... the numbers are pretty clearly in the territory save for a tiny overlap on the border. A few seconds of thought will cover it imo.

I also saved the graphics files as PNG files as I've notice with jpg my quality seems to waver. It goes from a real faded look to what it looks like on my psd file. I'd rather it not be the way undersaturated style. Hopefully it will work.
