its all fun and games and im the "jerk" but im telling you this is a stalemate map. Even with the "awesome" cow in the background, if this isnt escalating, its a frigging stalemate and ill dog it till beta.

What about a circulatory system, which can only attack in one direction depending on whether blood is flowing toward or away from the heart.

It's impossible to stalemate.

No it's not. Go to game finder and look at the oldest still active games... the oldest are from 2006 I think.

As for the map, it still has 4-way borders, you need to get rid of all of those. They are confusing, because players will not know which territory attacks which.

Examples: the border between TL1 to TL4.
Borders in thick flank.
Borders between Center flank, Flank, Flank cut and that nameless territory.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I guess that is pretty confusing.

Beef Cuts, VERSION 2.1
(58 territories, 13 regions)

Here's a new version, I basically just took out the four-way borders in Flank, Thick Flank, and Sirloin:

And again, the basic layout:

could you get rid of the sticks? in a cow there are not sticks... there is no reason that the borders cannot touch each other showing neighboring regions without sticks. and the barriers just being gaps as they are now.

Like in cairns coral coast, they all just flow together. I guess im not a stick fan. And when/if this reaches the gameplay step you are going to have to address the deadlock thing. Every "good" drop in a 1-3 bonus region is going to lock up that bonus right away because its too easy. This will cause deadlock, maybe even in escalating sunny it will too.

maybe you could make the sticks look like ligaments, intestines, or bones... something kinda gross, and "cow insidey"

This map's going to need a little work to get there, but I think you understand that. The bold colors have got to go, they're distracting from the map and incongruous with the picture of a cow on a grass field. Perhaps instead of solid colors you could go with some texture, or perhaps put pictures of the more famous cuts (prime rib, sirloin, etc.) on the territory name.

Mobility on the map is a major issue, as army of nobunaga is pointing out. It's too closed up right now, with bonuses fairly easy to hold with either a lucky drop or some lucky dice to solidify it. Open it up a little more, or perhaps go with the circulation idea and have some "teleporter" territories to add one more border for every region.

This map, despite all the discussion, is still not quite ready for the Gameplay Workshop. You need a design brief, and putting some graphical and gameplay evolution into the map will get it moving forward.

I don't like the picture of a real cow on the map. This is a novelty map, you might as well embrace it and make it funny. You could try something like this...

What? The real cow, just staring at you, is what makes it funny... and kind of awkward.

Yeah, I like the real cow, and I think the grotesqueness is makes it so funny. I would like to see the territories look more like meat and cow insides.

lol I agree with natty... I like the artwork of like cheesy stuff like duck and cover... but the real cow staring at you is funny in an awkward way too, so I agree with the " whatever."

Teleporter territorys may be the way to go in this map, some bombarding maybe too.

Well, if you don't use the butcher knives for bridges, it would make sense that the knives bombard all cuts of meat.

I feel like the circulatory or digestive system could work like the subway system in a lot of the city maps.

Bah, I'm tired of the 'subway' gimmick on maps.

8 Butcher knives as starting points... as if the conquer maps haven't been overplayed either.

BUT it would be interesting if butcher knives could attack all cuts.
