I haven't been through the whole post, so apologies if this has already been discussed.

The second I saw this map I thought that something wasn't quite right. It's the image of Buddha; Indonesia is nearly 90% Muslim, 9% Christian and less than 1% Buddhist, so why oh why pick a picture of the Buddha to represent Jakarta ???????

You are right about the religions today. It was the arrival of the Western faiths (Muslim and Christianity) that changed the make up, before, it was the eastern philosophies that made up the dominant religions. Indonesia has many temples based around Hinduism and Buddhism scattered throughout.

No, it is just a map of Jakarta. It is just a nice background for the map and players should not read anything else into it.

I find the font impossible to read on the small map version and I have very good eyesight can you find a similar font style with better spacing between the letters? Or perhaps go a bit larger in size?

I am finding a solution to this as we speak. Hoping to have it all solved today.

EDIT: Here is a small map only to upload. Should solve the small maps texts issues.

I left the mini map text alone. It is not really needed to aid gameplay unlike the territ names. Also, the three lowest ones, when the text is enlarged like the others, it becomes to big for the mini map.

Is it bad that the rivers on this map make me think of cholera?

More specifically vibrio cholerae.

Otherwise, I'm in a game on the map and it seems good.

I've read all the comments and there seem to be a lot of people who know about maps! Appreciate your work & their input. My input is very simple: Indonesia is the largest Muslim country in the world (population). The Hindu god picture really doesn't belong there. Thanks.

And as I explained previously, Jakarta / Indonesia was not always a Muslim country. I am not going to change the background based on religion or religious beliefs.

Additionally, this icon is actually in Jakarta, so it's not as if it's completely out of place.

Try playing it once at least.

If their is anything you see that needs changing, tell me, do not give me this general stuff as I cannot do anything about it. It may not be to your liking but what do you see is wrong?

I set the map up so that the reinforcements are made at a +1 for every 4 you hold (in the maps legend). I did this for 2 reasons. The map has an uneven number of territs so in 1v1 games, it would be easy to take an opponents troops down to 3. I wanted to stop that mostly. Secondly, I just got bored with +1 for every 3 territs.
