I would place Tsentralny on the top right. Then most bonus names move anti-clockwise.

Also instead of "Inner suburbs +13" it could be "Tsentralny +13".

the normal process of working usually applies clockwise in the foundry, so i ma happy where it is.

Also instead of "Inner suburbs +13" it could be "Tsentralny +13".
but this was a good suggestion. :)
Changes in V22 above.

cairnswk, this is a personal request so feel completely free to ignore it. The inset that you have the legend in, I have need wondering if it would look better at a raised piece of wood and made to look like a plaque.

koontz, i had a go at placing some texture on the inset, but because i have it beveled it doesn't take to having a transparancy on that.
so i duplicted it and made another inset and then applied some texture to them, but tbh, they look like absolute crap compared to the existing plainness of the inset plaque.
i tried, but no go, i'm afraid.

I'm wondering if anyone would think it was a good idea to place some facts about Moscow on those gold strips between the "continent corners".
Would it enhance/detract from the design?

Simple design for the frame to compliment the complexity of the centre.

Yes i'm kinda thinking that way also. i actually tried it and it does look somewhat messy around the edges.

koontz is there anything else you would do with this?

The end of the ring at Arabat looks blurred or something. Could just be my eyes, it's late here, and I just got one of the twins back to bed after screaming for two hours. :-$

A.I. to K.I. the territ line going to the gold circle runs along it for a little bit. Remove that.
The 4 screws that hold the legend plate in, bring them out a little bit and make into a dome shape to give them some relevance. Right now they look half done. Either that or remove them.
Gold clips running into the map from the frame. These also have a black territ line running beside them. No need as it is an impassable. Remove those lines as well.

Apart from that, nothing. Great work cairns on what is a unique looking map.

I agree Seamus...it is a little pixelated, but i think this is the best it will do.

According to nolefan5311 who has been mucking around with the xml wizard and gameplay testing....the current drop is 12 for 1v1 games, which is a no-no...
so i have recommended that Izmaylovo be coded as the extra neutral (3) to decrease the drop from 12 to 11 in 1v1. :)

y2manypbr wrote:hi, I can see the regions clearly but am not able to determine bonuses easily. I can see area's and borders, however not clear which areas go together to make a bonus. Is there a key, small map that identifies the bonuses? This helps even if you can not see the colors.

The bonuses are in the stars in each outer region as per the legend...
i will thicken the region borders in an update.

CB versions have been posted as per V24 on front page.

I can see what you are trying to do but I worry that the yellow and gold impassables might confuse even more players, mainly around Gagarinskiy and Ochakovo. Would you try keeping the black lines in place but lower the opacity for the territ lines inside bonus zones. Either that or have the bonus lines thicker that the territ lines. Not by much as some of the lines serve both functions like between the inner ring.

In between bonus zones. A thicker black line or keep it as is.
In between territs. A thinner black line or lower the opacity to make the different enough.

Option 1.
Gagarinskiy and Ochakovo - The black lines needs to be made thicker than a normal territ line as these two border the bonus zones.
Gagarinskiy and Akademicheskiy - Make this line thinner

Option 2.
Gagarinskiy and Ochakovo - Keep this line as it is.
Gagarinskiy and Akademicheskiy - lower the opacity of this line around 20%.

Option 3. and my preferred choice.
Keep it as was. As you have black lines that have a double use (A.I. and Arbat black line is a territ line and also a bonus line). Every time you try to change this, you will hit this problem. You cannot have a line for one and another for the other as some are for both.
