Isaac Asimov

Postby BigBallinStalin on Thu Jan 31, 2013 1:09 pm

1. Proper pronunciation of Isaac Asimov:

"I-sick Assy-mouf."

2. Thus confirming that he is a toilet-head.
3. He has no other redeeming features.
4. Therefore, he shall be stricken from the annals of history.

QED

The debate is over.

This War of the Worlds isn't going to fly anymore. We should burn this thread at Fahrenheit 451.

We sure are entering a Brave New World.

I hope we don't need an Introduction to Quantum Mechanics 2nd Edition.

The correct pronunciation for I.A. comes from a poetry contest held by a famous sci-fi magazine publication where the sci-fi author was supposed to be the last thing in the poem. The poem written for I.A. involved skinny dipping.

"But when it came to swimming,
His clothing he must doff.
Without a moment's hesitation,
Isaac Asimov."

My first Asimov book as a very young child was "The Moon." I still have it today in the basement. Come to think of it I was only 6 when this children's book came out in 1967.
