CURRENT UPDATE INFO - 2013-01-10:
- Removed the Simeon border/river overlap, and a couple others around the map.
- Fixed the "f" in the lower right scroll text. The "f" that was there is the fonts lower case letter and placement, so I just redid it and moved it up a bit.

My bad on the frame... its the BIGIMG tag that's adding it. Still the straight line edges of the bonus zones are odd to me. Its like the map stops, but the parchment continues on, briefly. I really don't think that outer line is necessary, the edge of the map parchment should suffice as a "border," and give the allusion that the map continues on, assuming there was more paper.

Ok, I'll mock it up and we can see what it looks like. I guess that means the bonus border color should run along the edge of the parchment, correct? And this should also be for the top and bottom, but as for the left Med border line, does that go all the way to the top, or stop where it is now? Thanks.

Just the edge of the map itself, the border on the Med doesn't need to be changed, but the line should goto the very edge of the map. (like its going off the map) The color can run along the edge as you said, or not depends on what you feel looks best.

CURRENT UPDATE INFO - 2013-01-14:
- Redid all of the bonus borders based on RedBaron's feedback, which was to remove all of the border lines running along the top, bottom, and right edges. Once I get some feedback on this I'll finish it up and do the same to the small version.

To do:
- Need feedback on current bonus border lines (or lack thereof).
- Touch up territ lines where bonus lines were removed.
- Tone down bottom of Judah bonus border glow.

Looks good to me kiddo, update your small, do the standard tests (colored numbers, vischeck) and as long as there isn't any other major issues brought up, you should be well on your way.

I appreciate you creating this map...I just joined CC and this map was an idea I thought would be great.

Looking at your map, the only thing kinda hard to accomplish is creating 12 different colors and have them distinct. But, no biggie...just my two cents worth. The off white/tan background maybe aiding in the difficulty.

Regardless, please let me know if it's available for testing/playing...I already have friends, students of the bible too, ready to play this map.

Thanks and looking forward to it.

I still think Heshbon borders Dead Sea 1.

I'll put in a weak second for that manbungalow. It depends if you think that qualifies as a river according to the legend or as part of the dead sea according to the color code.

I think it should be split and the color to match all the other rivers (ie. the little bit below the dead sea), but hey, I've seen harder to decode maps out there.

Simple fix... just erase the river up to the mountains.

CURRENT UPDATE INFO - 2013-02-03:
- Shortened the river running into Reuben, thanks RedBaron for the suggestion, which should now end any concern about the Dead Sea terts attacking Heshbon.

*Note on this: The water for the Med Sea and all of the rivers is the 2nd layer of the map. The next layers are the glows on top of the Dead Sea, which only run up the river into Reuben a few pixels to blend in. The rest of the river in Reuben is the exact same color as every other rivers.

I think the mountains look slightly too pixely to go with the general softness of the rest of the map.

VJ, are you aware that the XML you have posted has no small coordinates?

I can check the XML easier with the small map, as more of the mapmaker can fit on the screen to check bonuses etc.
