I'm in !

Slight hijack, but just curious
I played 14 games last night on these settings
I deployed second in every game and had second turn in every game
As far as i can see, the player who deploys first goes first....either that or i should buy a lottery ticket!

Yea, I made same mistake, and playing 2nd with these settings is really bad.

And 1 more thing, somehow I dont see that happening players waiting 12h in freestyle games. Ofc they will go first if they have a chance. (Edit : tho, to correct myself, you can get snap after deploy)

In next round of games, basically you need to wait few mins before game invites expire and then join and deploy first to start first. Which is really stupid in my opinion.

Or the TO needs to tell players who should go first...which could get messy

I joined all of mine as soon as I received the invites and things are looking good so far, even though many didn't start when I joined.

I don't see the problem. You joined the tournament knowing it was freestyle.

Yes, just said I made a mistake (forgot that in 1v1 games thats the rule, played too many team games lately and thats not the case there). And, donno about you, but playing first is big advantage for me. And in next round I am sure I will be racing at deadline to join games and deploy first.

Just start as soon as you like. Everyone sees the map when they deploy anyway. Even if they don't get to see where your stacks started they should be able to figure it out. Most of these games are decided in a couple of rounds anyway.

I actually don't think there's any waiting needed.
The person who drops second will go second, so if I drop second, I'll take a snap immediately after my drop and my opponent can go whenever.
If I drop first, I'll assume my opponent has taken a snap immediately after finishing his deploy.

It somehow escaped my notice that filopo is freemium.
He will be removed from the tournament and replaced by crazycolin.
My sincerest apologies to those who did get to play against him, because those games WILL NOT COUNT for tournament purposes.

Please feel free to brag in this thread about any medals earned as a result of this tournament.

I'll start by announcing that my win in Game 12878261 has just earned me my bronze Freestyle medal!!
Go me!

My original plan was to wait until all games had finished.
However, since there are now few enough active games for me to watch, I may tally up the results for the games that have finished and add the others in as they finish.
Depends how much time I have.

First round results, as they stand AT THIS MOMENT, have been added to the spreadsheet for the first 4 players alphabetically in this tourney.
That's all the time I have right now. I will try to get to the rest of us later tonight.

EDIT: As of shortly before midnight CC Time June 28, the spreadsheet has all results for the first 7 players alphabetically.
Also, there is now a second page in that spreadsheet which contains an accurate (as of this moment) Round 1 kill count for all 32 of us.

The results of all finished games have been put into the spreadsheet, and kill counts have been updated.
As of this moment, the spreadsheet is completely up to date, and there are 41 active Round 1 games.
allinpoker1980 and general cod are currently tied for the lead with 25 kills each. They each also have 1 active Round 1 game.

NOTE: From Round 2 on, in every game, each player will be either Player A or Player B, where Player A has beaten Player B in this tournament, but Player B has not beaten player A. In every game from Round 2 on, Player B will be red and Player A will be green (in accordance with the red and green boxes in the spreadsheet).
For example, I beat jpk in Round 1, which means he obviously has not beaten me. When we meet in Round 2, he will be red and I will be green.
Also worth noting - if a red player wins a game in Round 2 or later, the two players involved in that game will not play each other again in this tourney, as each will then have beaten the other at least once.

I hope that's all understandable, but if you still have questions, please feel free to ask them.

So glad I put a round limit on these games.
The 4 active games should finish soon, and Round 2 invites will (hopefully) go out this weekend.

When I get a chance, I'll add a third sheet listing the players each of us still need to defeat.

All Round 1 games have now been decided.
Setting the pace in Round 1 are allinpoker1980 and general cod, who each won 25 of their 31 games.
Each of these two players will receive a General Achievement medal.
Congratulations to Gilligan for being the only player to beat both of these two in Round 1 - no prize for that, though.

Next on my agenda:
Add third sheet to spreadsheet listing players each of us still needs to defeat
Create Round 2 games
Send out invites for Round 2 games

These will be done in that order, when I have the time to do them.
