I think he's referring to craft beer in general.

Local or regional?
Goose Island is a "craft" beer and it's pretty good. I'll drink it over Bud any day, especially at a ballpark where they cost about the same.
We have a ton of micro brews here on Long Island (so many that a few farmers started reserving space for growing hops).
Some are ok, and some are good; none are crap.

Me, I don't buy really pricey beers - once they start getting into the same price range as wine, that's silly. But I will not drink Bud, it has no taste at all. They did do an "American Ale" or something a few years ago which was very drinkable - but I've not seen that in a while.

It's also American... The only thing English about it is the name. It's from Minnesota.

i woulddrink totally different beers depending on the weather. I like strong tasty beers in winter and very light beers in summer.
We don't really have bud here, but it's totally the typeof beer i could enjoy on a hot summer day. I wouldn't touch it with a stick in winter.

the best beers are the belgian trappist beers made by monks.

Enjoy those...best? Can't do that...

Beer I enjoyed most in my life was a Russian imperial stout I brewed in college and added a batch of strong shroom tea to in the finish. THAT was a damn good beer....called it psycho suds....had a lot of fun with that 10 gallons

The Belgians make some great beer.

I think we may have very similar tastes in beer, betiko. I'm the same. Strong, dark beer in the winter, lighter beer in the summer.

That's my preferences anyway. If all I can afford is budweiser then I'll drink it even in January.
