Start Date: July 21, 2007
Creator: Gnome
Status: Quenched

This is a map based on the fantasy world of Midkemia. All copyright concerns have been passed so this map is okay for the site. This map is also employing a new idea in not having borders and instead connecting territories with paths.

A midkemia map should be made, but this needs a LOT of work.

problems

Postby shadowdude on Sun Jul 22, 2007 2:57 am

your map is good but i've got some tips for ajusting it:
1. The mountains should be changed to a drawing of something

2. The mountains north of elvandar are alot thinner so there space north of them and ther are no mountains on the plains of armeger. You should take the mountains in kesh out to make a legend there not meant to be there any way

3.you missed out the island queg just west of sorcerors isle.

4.the sandy beach thing on the south coast of the kingdom sea dosent look good it should bealot thinner and shoudn't go all the way to salador.

5.lastly wat is that white thing in the middle of the plains of armegar

if you need any help with you map then im there :D

lol well I don't realy now a lot about this map you know...I just based myself on a map I found on the internet, you are right I missed some islands, those are already in it.
But for the beach and the mountains I just based on the internet map...
And I'll see what I can do about the mountains
Ans the white thing is a snow plain or something :? There is a city called Harlech...

I can't get past your textures, they are absolutely shocking.

Please change them.

It also seems you have split it into territories for the sake of splitting it, with little regard for the books.

I think you should get the map looking good before thinking about the territories.

Well It's just the look I worked on...those colours and borders are like gone in 2 clicks...
And with the textures you mean the mountains? or just everything?

Help me with it?

the mountains r ok for now its the territories that r ugly

also the feather might have to go. If all your artwork is origonal then there are no copywrite problems.

id say go check out Fiest's books from a library and basethe countrys off it
That seems to be the second biggest problem. Just get a better texture and ppl wount complain to much

I was thinking about just deleting the borders and make the army circles on places where there is a big city or something...
So its just a map with city names, the terretories still are in a coulour...
But so I dont have to worry to much about the borders...
And I'm working on better textures for the grass

All of the textures are pretty ordinary.

I'll be glad to help you as I am a big fan of the books so can help you with the territories and stuff, but BEFORE you do any of that, map your map look awesome.

-trees to make BlackWood, dimwood and some random
