I found Conquer club because some members of CC, who I know from several civilization fansites pointed me here. It seems Risk-players and Civ-players have something in common. Or am I mistaken ?

What do you, as a risk-player, think of the game Civilization ?

I enjoy Civ, even though I lean more towards RTS games than Turn-Based strategies.

Where is "a game that I love" option?
Sincerely, the games I most played in life were civ 1 and civ 2.
Im up to some internet civ 2 games.

I have civ three its fun but i like RTS games better...that and whenever i get to the part where you can build tanks jets and aircraft carriers(my favorite part) i either get killed, quadruple teamed by ever single ai or i am so far behind in army size/technology its not even worth it anymore

It's been a while since I heard that. Usually it's game over (human won) if you manage to get to cavalry in Civ 3.

Try multiplayer Civ - a whole new experience.

Tell you how to win with Cavalry or tell you how to do multiplayer ?

Cavalry: just build them en masse an use their 3 movement to outmaneuver the AI. Use catapults, Trebuchets or cannon to injure counterattackers inside your lands. You will conquer them while they won't conquer you.

Multiplayer: can be done via a LAN, Play by email or direct IP (live on the internet).

It is free.

Just 1 thing, Civ3 didn't get the multiplayer option till the first expansion "Play the World". If you don't have PTW or "Conquests" multiplayer isn't possible.
Very easy to spot: in the opening screen; if you have a buton called "Multiplayer" you can do Multiplayer.

In this link you all can download civ2. I didnt test, but I think its English language complete version (can someone check this?). But the download works. After click the link, you need wait 30 seconds, so the button for the download will appear.

Civ1 is easy to find. If someone wants, I can post a link to it, too.

We have a special forum created for the sole purpose of playing Civ against eachother. We all play by honour-code - we don't look in the opponent's spoiler until the game is over. Those spoilers are for lurkers to follow the games. And we don't cheat (reload, save-adjusting etc.). We play fair and with honour.
If you are interested in multiplayer Civ4 (or Cv3) and you play with honour, check out http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/default.asp

If you just want Multiplayer and not report your progress and tell stories about it - go to the larger forum Civilization Fanatics Forum - Multiplayer section. You are still expected to play fairly but since it is so much bigger there is no control on it. Multiplayer Civ 4 and Multiplayer Civ3
