my main concern is the allegation that he was also having multis thrown from games by his good friend and hunter eye84free. funny how the main defense for eye was, he only did it once and did not know it was wrong. which is a load of garbage. and then to have him possibly extend the favor to a close friend would be an absolute black eye to king achilles and his ruling. they are going to need a bigger carpet, because the mess keeps getting bigger and bigger. and you can't simply say the few of us that are vocal about it have vendettas or are Anti-CC. i think most of us that are vocal are very PRO-CC, and anti poor handling of the moderation and the allowing of systematic farming right on the edge of the rules... it is all so disgusting. lack needs to get a handle on this place.-el Jesus negro

I would like everyone to hold any comments on my post until after please no matter what you think or feel.
KING ACHILLES, why havent you come forward to say anything on this yet. Either its happening or its not,way to much time and probable evidence has been produced that says alstergen is most likely farming.
We would like to hear something from CC that says to us yes, you are paying attention.
Its very hard to understand how some cases can be closed in hours. And some cases drag by with not even a comment.

All I know is that if Alster is found innocent of farming, Im gonna make sure that 20% of my games are against NR's. Just enough to not be farming as per this ruling.

How do you know this? And surely the limit will need to be published so we can all do it? If this is the correct ruling, admin need to be clear what the overall percentage is which i assume will be decided over your total games which means i can have a whale of a time!

Sat Jan 14, 2012 10:53 pm was when the initial post was made, how long does it take to look at history's? Its been over two weeks. I know you they are not paid individuals but this should take an hour or so to look over and decide upon.

I know you were speaking tongue in cheek S3xytoy, but this is a precident setting case. If Alster is found innocent, it basically means that farming is ok up to around 20-25% of your games as per this decision. If he is found guilty, it is another top player found guilty of cheating.
***Pulls up a chair and a bowl of popcorn. I'm waiting to see what gets done with this.

Even if he is found guilty, they are not going to do anything drastic...probably a warning. And I realize this is a precedent setting decision, but really isn't every case? I have been around for a few of these quasi-farming cases, not to beat a dead horse but GLG / DH. It was said by many of the mods that it was wrong, but within the rules. The farming rules have been discussed since I joined this site 3 or 4 years ago (probably close to 50 threads all with valid solutions supported by a large portion of the forum community, but none are ever implemented) so I doubt that there is going to be a re-write there.
The rules in this case state
"systematically "farming" new recruits". Well by that definition, he would have to have a system in place. Looking over his games, yes he does play 20-30% new recruits but that by definition isn't systematic. He would have to have 1 in every 3 games (or 1-5 depending on the percentage) against a new recruit. It would have to be a regular pattern, by definition. Technically if I played 1 game with a new recruit every 100 games I would be systematically farming, only because I would have a system in place. On the other hand if I played 7 games with new recuits, 4 with other ranked players then 4 games with new recuits then 2 with other players, then 20 with new recruits etc...I would not be "systematically farming" because my play against the new recruits was not regular or a regular pattern. Its the word systematic that can be used to a farmers advantage as long as they don't show a pattern they should technically be ok.
This is a snippet of a definition from the first google dictionary site that popped up:
a : methodical in procedure or plan <a systematic approach> <a systematic scholar>
b : marked by thoroughness and regularity <systematic efforts>
I bolded regularity because thats what is being decided here I suppose. If this was the real world then Alstergren would be cleared, but since were in the inner sanctum where rules are more guidelines depending on whether a player is "servicing" a mod or not this could go either way.
