Still wrapping up some of the first-round games, but we also have action in the Quarterfinal round with Bend striking first with an early touchdown to lead 7-0 over Forest Grove late in the first quarter. And the Lava Bears have the ball in Forest Grove territory driving for more.

A first-round game has gone final with Bend closing out a 34-21 road win at Canby, booting a pair of long field goals and getting 112-yards rushing from RB1 and three TD passes from its QB.

That eliminates my team from the tourney. Thanks to everyone for playing. I've really enjoyed the process on this one.
And good luck to those still in the hunt for the title.

And we have another overtime game in the First round with Summit scoring in the final minute to tie the score at 14-14 with Tigard.

Summit's QB went 8-for-8 for 74 yards with 16-yard TD pass with 0:24 to play.

Tigard had the first possession of overtime, but Summit's defense has knocked them backward three straight plays, knocking them out of field goal range.

All right, we've got three of the four quarterfinal matches active now.

Forest Grove kicked a 51-yard field goal to get on the scoreboard. Bend leads 7-3 midway through the second quarter.

Jesuit and Polk went to double overtime in their first-round game. Jesuit kicked a short field goal to take a brief lead, but Polk answered with a 6-play touchdown drive that ended with a 7-yard TD catch by WR1 to take the win 34-31.

Central Catholic advanced with a 52-13 win over Gresham, putting the running clock into effect after a 45-yard interception return for a touchdown. Central Catholic forced five turnovers on the game.

Tigard and Summit remained tied 14-14 in the 2nd overtime.
Summit fumbled the ball to end its 2nd possession.

Tigard takes over at the 25-yard line with the California map sent out to begin that possession. Score for a win, defensive stop and we go to OT#3

Tigard boots a short field goal in double overtime to survive 17-14 against Summit in the first round.

All quarterfinal games are now active.

Barlow gets out to a 21-3 lead over Polk in the 2nd quarter, helped by a 9-yard TD run, then a forced fumble that turned into a 17-yard TD pass on the very next play.

Central Catholic has opened up a 35-17 lead over Sherwood with only a few minutes to play. Looks like we have three out of semifinal teams all but determined.

It's a complex formula, but basically you earn yardage based on each round of each map in play. This yardage allows you to drive down the field and score points ... either touchdowns or field goals.

If you get a really lopsided round in your game there is the chance for a turnover to get the back or a big play to score quickly.

Lakeridge boots a short field goal just before halftime and carries a 10-0 lead into the second half, but the Central Catholic defense comes up big and gives its offense the ball in Pacers' territory as the Rams look to get onto the scoreboard early in the third.

Lakeridge connects on a long 52-yard field goal to expand its lead to 13-0 over Central Catholic, but the Rams are driving midway through the third quarter.

Barlow holds a 28-3 lead over Bend approaching halftime in the other semifinal game.

Back to back touchdown drives for the Barlow Bruins, as their QB is one fire. He's 13-for-15 with TD passes of 14 and 27 yards to put the Bruins up 24-10 as the clock ticks under 9 minutes to play.
