We can debate the relative positions of atheists and theists of all types in our societies, but in truth, it is irrelevant.
The thing is to keep facts as facts, opinions as opinions and beliefs as beliefs.
Theories, in the scientific sense, are a bit trickier because some are little more than one or two person's ideas and others are backed by so many facts that there is only the slimmest of possibilities the theory is wrong.
Evolution is one of those that will be extremely hard to disprove with honesty. It is sad that Christians have taken the route of deception instead of truth in this battle. It is even sadder that so many thinking people are utterly failing to find the reality that will so clearly show scientific creationism is anything but science ... and anything but Christian.

We will only have "won" when we no longer have 30% of government officials, even TODAY believing that Scientific Creationism or any of the current Creationist ideas actually present a true and valid alternative.

You obviously have not even bothered to find out what Evolution really entails, or who really accepts it. NOR have you even considered any of the MANY, MANY challenges. Until you are willing to examine ALL the evidence with TRUTH ... the only people you will "convince" are those, like yourself, who cannot be bothered to find out if they have been told the truth or told lies.
As for God -- I am 100% sure that God created everything ... AND that he is masterful enough to have created the entire system we see, plus more. He is not in any way limited by those few who decide to ignore reality and think they have to apply scientific terms to a completely non-scientific text.
I also know that Christ is about truth, not lies. ANYONE who uses Christs name to put forward lies ... be they Creationist lies or any other is committing the greatest sin there is. NO, scientists may be wrong, but they do not lie. Those in the Creation Science institute and the rest who continue to put forward lies are NOT representatives of Christ. That is what I know.
AND I know that the more true and honest people hear what Creationism is REALLY about, the more you will look the fools.
Maybe Sarah Palin coming to the fore is a good thing... if people finally take the time to examine what so-called Creation Science is REALLY saying.

It's just a shame that this thread died after 'intelligent design' was exploded and all the creationists were proved conclusively wrong.
