1. Obtain rights to map from quert.
2. Receive many complaints about objective being worded badly, not consistent with game mechanism.
3. Change owned image.
4. ???
5. PROFIT
Seriously, why are the usual suspects taking up arms against CC in this battle? They really didn't do anything wrong. quert willingly gave up the rights to the image.
Guys let's all calm down and get back to squezing-uranium and plutonium, for extraordinary strategy in nuclear spoil games

mapmakers don't give up rights to their maps. they allow cc to use them free of charge.
i thought andy's statement was appropriate.
i think its time to stop acting like we just found the missing Watergate tapes.

I dont ask for apology,because i dont expect to get apology(actualy when you check Andy post,you will find only words regret and sorry,but no apology). Probably they regret, that i discover how they work, and who knows how many maps are change in these way. Maybe one day, they will be more open to community, and will much more announce what they have in mind.
Now what its left,that Andy go to Europe 1914 topic,and finaly after 2 years post,and announce that they made change on map, i think that these will be satisfactory for all.

Again, it appears like he is sorry and regrets that qwert wasn't notified... But how about the rules? At what point does it become okay to say, "To hell with the rules?" Is it after receiving an unspecified number of complaints that can never be corroborated? Or is after many people become confused and speak with those in charge in private? Or is it just when the powers that be feel like they can break the law because they are above it? Perhaps there were too many cigars and glasses of brandy the night in question, causing you to conveniently forget about the rules...
