They fall under the abuse guidelines in that they are racist, baiting, ignorant, insensitive comments. The intent is obvious.

Racial tension does exits all over the world. I do think that not everyone here appreciates the particular situation that exists with American blacks.

Listen friends, we all know that owen is a magnet for controversy. I daresay he enjoys it a bit. So if you're going to insult a man who has clearly heard it many times before, go for a little originality, a higher standard of criticism, if you will . But don't insult the man based on his race. That's the line we don't cross in civilized cultures.

can we get a ruling on this sooner rather than later please? i'm getting pretty tired of having to defend myself from people who clearly haven't bothered to actually read the thread, quite apart from having khazalid is a BIG BASTARD OF A RACIST sitting merrily atop the c&a pile. it does nothing for a man's semi.

incompetent and trigger-happy as the moderation is on cc these days there remains in my mind the possibility of an innocent rabble-rouser actually dodging the ban hammer for a change.

finally, a thanks to all those who posted and PMd. it was good to know at least some of you got the joke despite captain vendetta screaming at the top of his lungs.

funny, now i have a vendetta against khazalid, i hope he can shed some light on this too... i find it very amusing that i haven't stooped to name calling or attacks on others race, sexuality, birth place, etc... you know, i haven't stooped to bigotry to combat the bigotry, overt racist and blatant racism on display within this thread. i have remained civil and on topic and made all my points succinct and clear without name calling. despite all this, the name calling/flaming/baiting continues, and i have remained above the fray. i truly hope an admin takes a close look at this thread and appropriately punishes the members that blatantly violated the bigotry guidelines, many with glee... posting that racism is funny on another members wall who is also engaging in the race baiting of a member, should be evidence enough. but to then have the same members come back into this thread and make lynch mob, boy and fried chicken jokes simply proves my point. yeah, i have a sense of humor, and yes i may say many off colour things, but this is way over the line. i also find it amusing that khazalid declares he owes me an apology, gives some half hearted attempt, and then continues to slag and berate me further along within the thread. right now, the argument seems to be hinging on "snigger". again, this is overt, just as when members were using "niggardly" to attempt to rile me up. they were banned. and if you toss out "snigger", the evidence within the original complaint is enough for a substantial ban, and that is not taking into account the continued racist comments made within this thread! the complaint is valid, the evidence is clear, the continued behaviour shows it wasn't an error in judgement or a simple mistake. ok, that is all i have to say. you may all continue with your racist comments/baiting/flaming of me, to which i have not responded...-0

p.s.-more than a few members have shown they need a clarification of the rules and a time out from the forums. despite khazalid's statement, casual racist humor is never funny.

From what I read ( I got disgusted by about halfway through the second page) it breaks down like this:
owenshooter recognises racism occurring
khazalid posts content equivalent to "whatever", then trolls owenshooter, then fires off a racist comment
alstergren says he doesn't like owenshooter, trolls owenshooter, then fires off a racist comment
A few more people weigh in firing off racist comments, as that seems to be the thème de jour
A mod weighs in on the side of whoever has posted the most, in this case the narrow-minded
Mod retreats from debate quick smart
Three users argue the same case as owenshooter
finchboy dribbles
rampant flaming and trolling ensues

The only people here acting with any sense of decency are those who are having abuse hurled at them, which is owen, MrC, tk44, and porkenbeans. The rest of you are shamefully hopping on board the mob mentality bus - I bet you're proud of yourselves. Grow up.

alright well..since this has become nothing but flaming/racism attacks I am going to lock this temporarily till King A or another admin has a look into this farther.

khazalid has already been dealt with (short forum vacation) from the reference thread provided in this report, as well as pm's, disciplinary measures, to those who have trolled and spammed this thread.

This thread will remain locked to avoid further flaming/trolling and it has already served it's purpose.
