ok still pretty new to this, I need an explaination of what is strike wolfs question, strike are you saying the mod has told you something about WW's role, and if he did and you know that he is scum you need to share with all of us,about what the mod said. Sorry if I missed the point entirely there and am off on what you meant strike. Because otherwise this looks strange to me.

I'd rather explain after the question is answered. What I will say is that I believe I can definitively prove if WW is town or if he is not town based on his answer.

ah ok, thank you for clarifying that for me, I was thinking if the mod told you about a role it would be odd, because both games I have been in I havent got anything about anyone else, except my role. Sorry like I said new you got to lead me to the water

How do we know the second kill wasn't a serial killer? Could it be the mafia only got one kill and the second was the serial killer? Is that normally denoted in the scene?

If you're not going to out yourself... don't out yourself. You might not think giving a list of things you're not won't help anyone - but if you're not enough things, eventually you'll be something...
That's all I have to offer...

There's enough rolls in the game that I did not give that much information away. It's not like I plan to go down the entire list. I'm simply stating that I am not one of the two most important. Either way it's still all wifomy...

I have a guess about what strike is. I just typed it all out, but decided it was better to not let everyone know for now. My guess and gut feeling is that he is town and telling the truth.

True enough - but I don't see how saying "I'm not outing myself!" and then providing further details about your role benefits either you or the town...

You may not post your win condition, how many words are in your role PM, or any other kind of way to get around not quoting PMs.
were you trying to get me killled strike?
anyways, with out getting Mod killed:
I am Tifa Lockhart from FF VII the game.
I am Town J.O.A.T.
I have 3 one shot abilities:
I have a 1 shot vig. I PM my target to Rodion. I will know my kill because it will reference Crystal Gloves.
I have a 1 shot doc. I PM my target to Rodion.
I have a 1 shot cop. I PM my target to Rodion. I will receive either an innocent/guilty response.
My PM does not mention any specifics about what I will find. All it says is that I will get an innocent or guilty response.
That is it.

Sorry I should have been more specific. I just need(ed) what your specific results are for an innocent/guilty result which Rodion said would be alright for you to say. So are you saying your PM specifically says that you will receive an "innocent" or a "guilty" result?

My cop role says that I will receive an innocent or a guilty response on the person I investigate. that is it. It does not say whether it will come back as "mafia" or "third party" or "serial killer" it just says you will get either receive a guilty or innocent response to my investigation. So I was actually surprised to see a third party faction.
I am pretty sure I can say this, but I also did not receive the flavor of my kill in my original pm. It came in a separate pm.

Alright. I now feel comfortable doing this. vote wildwilliam
Reason. I am Vincent Valentine (from FFVII the game)-town JOAT. I did not initially counter WW's J.O.A.T. claim because A. His set of abilities are slightly different than mine (I have a roleblock but no kill). B. I was not convinced there was only one JOAT in the game. C. I felt I could use my investigation to better prove if he was town or scum however I was role blocked. D. I was unconvinced that in a claim battle, that my claim would be stronger than a Tifa claim. My role according to Wikipedia suggested my character was relatively minor and almost was not playable within the game before gaining greater popularity after the game was released. What has changed a. It has been suggested that my claim may be stronger than I thought it was. B. What Wildwill claims he gets does not match what my investigation results would say.
Also considering what my results say, I am no longer thinking that Sephiroth is an SK and may instead be working with a second Mafia. However 2 mafias with 4 members seems a little over powered.

Why would you assume that our investigation roles would give the same results, especially when our other roles are so different?
sorry, but your claim is not stronger than Tifa Lockhart.

It seems like a good case to me. That and william choosing not to do any action. It just seems too convenient to me.

I would expect investigation results to be the same for all investigative roles.

Tifa could have been given as a fakeclaim though.

Why would our investigations be different? Only thing that's different is a role block vs a kill. Both our investigations are a cop style investigation and I don't see why Rodion would have different JOATs with different possible investigation results.

1) I had to be investigated by someone last night.
2) I am hoping by my second part of my post about the flavor of my kill that barett would back me up. maybe the same thing happened to him and his gatling gun.
3) why make such an important character a fake claim? She is one of the main members of Avalanche.

I can't confirm the second one but I would assume mafia and other roles with kills would also be informed of their kill flavour. 1 is flawed and explained in #3 if you had a strong claim and no counter claim, you would not be investigated. The other side of that is I did attempt to investigate you.
3 I kind of feel is A. You hiding behind a good fake claim b. Rodion placing in a strong fake claim to help mafia.

Why would you receive two role PMs? Given wildwilliam's shaky reasons for having nothing to report from last night, I was really just waiting for a reason to cast a vote, and I think strike just provided it. I could understand two JOATs in a game, but I wouldn't expect them to be this similar.

As far as this case, I don't think it is as solid as it would at first appear.
I have a few reasons for this.
First: to strike's question of why different investigations. Why different JOATs? I think it makes sense that if there are indeed different JOATs, that they would be as different as possible.
As far as fakeclaims go: Neither Tifa nor Vincent fit JOAT all that well. Vincent is known as a badass, and even though he is not the greatest character, a lot of people played with him in the party just because he is badass. It doesn't make sense for him to not have a kill.
However, I know Rodion is a fan of "play the game, don't play the mod". So, the roles will be slightly unexpected - which is to be expected. Also, I can understand if the PMs were all slightly different or if the roles are slightly different.
I think clearing another person based on something like this isn't a legitimate case. Not to say that with different mods it wouldn't be, I am just saying that Rodion would have prepared for this eventuality.
Now, another thing against WW is that he didn't use an investigation last night. Some people are causing a stink about this but yesterday he clearly stated he was not going to do an action. Where were your complaints yesterday? You are just as responsible for this as WW is.
At this point, I am leaning towards agreeing with strike though - but I don't think it is rocksolid evidence. Perhaps there is something about Tifa that would cause her to focus more on the innocence of somebody and something about Vincent that would cause him to focus on whether or not somebody is mafia. Personally, I think it would have went the other way, but I did not write the roles.
