Great news! Or is it?
Depends, on many factors:
1) where are your assets?
2) whose ox is being gored?
3) How much of your investments are in precious metals vs other commodities or In securities? (Best advice, I have heard: DIVERSIFY.)
4) Expected rise of the dollar or precious metal in the short and long term.
5) How long do you plan to speculate in such commodities?
6) HitRed, what did I miss?
7) something I did not even consider (what I don't know that I don't know, as per Donald Rumsfeld).
8 ) Another good tip: Find a Good Person who can advise you well on such matters, AND I AM NOT that guy. (I hire people to do that for me. i.e., offering me financial advice.)

If you are bringing back manufacturing to the USA you want a weak dollar.
By default a weaker dollar means it takes more dollars to buy gold/silver. The reverse is also true.
I didn't buy any oxen today.

American consumers need a strong dollar. Weaker dollar means higher inflation. Expect oil to rise in price with the weakening petro-dollar.

Inflation is caused by changes in the money supply.

Inflation is the RISE of PRICES, very simply. My definition of Inflation includes the idea that:
"too many dollars chasing too few goods." Prices are determined by supply (as goods and services to be sold) and demand (wanting to buy those goods and services with dollars).

So, we have another prescient prediction by the pack rat??? NO, Looking Doubtful.
Now, gasoline prices will rise in the USA as we approach warmer weather, as Americans DRIVE more and we need to attain (lower) emission standards to avoid the rise of NOx in the atmosphere in the summer months, often mainfested as SMOG and Ozone levels.

If you really want to blow your mind measure the S&P gains since he took office vs gold. S&P shit the bed in 2025, down roughly 30%

The last 10 days we took a big hit on our stocks. I'm afraid that we might pull out and stash the cash in CDs. I believe gold has hit it's peak, but if the dollar continues it's slide...we might be facing a financial disaster.
The confidence in the dollar is falling and yes, I blame Trump for causing the chaos that is making the financial markets and our relationship with our allies being flushed down the toilet.

ONE stat is not a measure of a ROBUST and COMPLEX and dynamic US Economy. There are other ways to measure and many point to success. And, unlike the pack rat, I see more complete data and SOME that portend possible "bumps on the Economic road." I do not have my head buried in the sand; I will not speculate on the whereabouts of pack rat's head. We can ask Duk, a noted reviewer of Economic Data in this Forum, for his analysis and I give his VIEWS lots of respect.
And Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert are: 1) noted Economist--- NO WAY
2) Noted financiers--- NO WAY
3) Businessmen who make millions (this is the only one that has a modicum of truth). Basically BOTH got FIRED, but NOT immediately. Their bosses are hoping (beyond reasonable doubt, it seems to me) that their rating, now in the Toilet, will soon turn up to JUSTIFY their Huge monetary compensation. RIGHT now both SHOWS and "entertainers" LOSE money for their networks.
They are merely con artists who masquerade as comedians who both HATE TRUMP and are two of the biggest suffers of TDS. Jimmy K CRIED when Trump was elected on TV. Keep crying, Jimmy; Trump is STILL President.
"Sleepy" I trust the judgement of pack rat as much as I trust Jimmy and Stephen on Economic matters. NOT AT ALL. Here is pack rat trying another impotent attempt to smear Trump. Trump has many FAULTS, but being sleepy is NOT one, unless he is not engaged in a meeting heavy on Policy, that easily bores him. Reserve that moniker for your Hero, Sleepy Old Joe, pack rat. THAT ONE actually FITS, and THAT fits nearly as well as your Dunce Cap.
Getting back to "Sleepy" that is a TOTAL Fabrication, i.e., A LIE. ANOTHER big FAIL by the Loser puny pathetic pee-filled pack rat who smears Dung from this Heap as he scurries around this Forum. I think Trump gets by on 4-5 hours of sleep per night, has TREMENDOUS energy, even as a man almost 80 years. I doubt that Biden had that much energy in his PRIME.
How Much Sleep Does Donald Trump Get? When Does He Wake Up?
Last Updated on August 22, 2024
Overview of President Donald Trump’s Sleep Schedule
Trump has a tough job. After all, he has to lead one of the most powerful countries in the world.
Anyway, he says that to get everything done he works until about midnight or one o’clock in the morning. Then he’s back up and at ‘em at 5 am.
During particularly busy times, those four to five hours can become as little as three. He’s been maintaining this schedule for years, not just as president, but as a businessman, too. He reasons that he’s better able to compete and accomplish more than someone who sleeps double or triple that amount of time. (...)
Outgoing
Maybe it’s all those extra hours of learning how to be social. Or maybe they get out to more parties while the rest of the world is sleeping. Either way, this group of sleepless elite tends to display more extroverted behavior.
Optimistic
This is definitely a genetic anomaly! “Normal” people are cranky and pessimistic when they don’t get enough sleep.
Ambitious
Rather than lying in bed for extra hours, short sleepers take the world by storm. They’re up and ready to go early, and they’ll keep working while the rest of us are watching American Ninja Warrior.

So says that rat that:
1) suffers from TDS,
2) has a weak and puny brain,
3) shows that he (apparently)** has little knowledge or understanding about Economics, and
4) thinks that MSNow is a reliable and UNBIASED Source.
Yeah, they are as unbiased as your now quoted heroes, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert.
What a MAROON.....ALL THREE.
