hey I got an idea for a mafia game but I cant mod and will be leaving in about a week so I will put it out there for some other mod to grab/have everyone tell me how stupid I am and find so many loopholes that they are force to blacklist me from all mafia games for being so inceredibly stupid.
So this is how it works. It would have to be a VERY large game. It would start with everyone being townie except for a few people that are all cult recruters for different cults. NO one knows that their are no mafia and only cults. Every first cult recruit gets a special power. It can be anything. A kill every night, a investsigation. i dont know. be creative. So town wins if they lynch all the cult recruiters. Cult win when they over power the town and when they have the largest cult. So blast away
PS. if it is as bad as I suspect it might be someone might want to move this to flame wars...

Well, I also came up with a good idea for a series of small games. Old kid stories, such as 3 little pigs, and Little red riding hood, etc. i can probably a few 10 player games, where it shows the other side of the story. Such as the 3 pigs as mafia, the wolf is the vig, etc.. just ideas though.

I don't know, sounds good to me, but of course it couldn't be announced as this, the mod would have to keep these details under wraps of course.

That was ruined because I was totally overpowered by the end. Even in the beginning when I had a kill power and the rest didn't, I was overpowered.

1) TO me he did, and it's the mod's decision. But the controversy on the modkill is part of why I'm not doing it again.

I was wondering what is the most common way of modding a mafia game. Mainly I have one question: if a cop investigates someone, do you tell them "innocent" or "mafia" or do you tell them everything (like the character's name and if they have any powers or not)?
If there's some kind of modding guide somewhere, let me know.

Tell them the full role if it's a smaller game.
tell them only the alignment if there are cops of varying sanity.

Um, I have some ideas that I can pm you. You can mod it, because Im through with modding for a while, but if you let me give you some guidelines, then sure.

I unstickied the page because it turned into something else. It was supposed to be a helpful resource for the mafia gamers, but now it just seems like you're trying to control other moderators from making games, which isn't good.
That and spin really isn't keeping it updated.
If you would like to edit it Spin I'll be happy to re-sticky it.
Or if someone else thinks they can keep it updated better, I'd be happy to let you try.

how do u work this 1 out!!! there are way too many games going on atm and u know it, at first it was good, now it is just out of hand.

It would take another full time mod to keep track of all the current mafia games. Way too many... Diluting the quality of the games if you ask me.

Also I remember the insane vig, that was so funny. It was a doc that was called a vig. It had a funny death scene too.
