Thoughts? Theories? If it does occur, can someone exist in more than one place at a time?

Yes. We all exist EVErYWHERE at One Time...since the Big Bang happened at ONE TIME. Therfore, we all exist everywhere at once...more than one time, but infinite times. Get it?

I don't get what you mean? Is there not apparently more than one consciousness at least? I'm you and you're me now whether that is scheduled to happen or not?

Okay, listen...all things have happened at ONE TIME. We all exist in ONE INSTANT. Therefore, the Particle/Particles that make up all of me, also make up all of you and all of EVERYTHING around you. We exist in more than one instant. There is but ONE CONSCIOUSNESS. It is shared by all Life.

it's BS, like heaven a the 42 virgins. 42?

When men become aware of death, the anxiety of nothingness is a burden. Religions try to relief men by inventing other absolutes, like heaven. Or reincarnation.

Who you quoting in the second CW? You have apparently spoken untrue words Niet. Not saying Niet is being quoted by CW... wow... what can't be defined a million and one ways?

All energy proceeds into other manifestations. When we die, all that energy transfers into another manifestation. It is but a simple and scientific principle of physics.

Thanks CW. Hmm. Now what is up with Karma or lack thereof if there is none? Niet, I wonder if there are things much worse than nothingness. That could look very attractive to a tired and beat up old man maybe. Thoughts someone? Did I offend you Niet? What do I know?

That doesn't mean anything. I'm sorry, using energy in a kind of esoteric manner doesn't accomplish anything.

If I understand you, what you imply is that energy moves from you in the moment you die. Let's think about it from the point of view of metabolism: one stops working in repairing organs, stops producing heat.. so most likely the energy will be taken in the form food by worms or whatever eats the body.

Does this mean you reincarnated in a worm? Don't think so. There is no content in the life a worm anyway, his brain, if he has one :? it's too much simple to be aware of feeling .

Can someone help me figure out if The Apocalypse of Peter is a work of lies straight out of some hell or not?

Being aware of your death, living in that awareness takes a toll. Anxiety keeps going until you have a mental breakdown, but luckily for most people there are many devices embedded in culture and religions to give relief. This doesn't have to work in your fore consciousness.

Things like staying alive through your kids, leaving a legacy through a book or something, but mostly believing that death is not the end, but the begin of a better life are powerful meaning devices to most people.

You don't offend me Lionz, I know that 95% of the world would never agree with what I'm saying.

Actually, what I am saying is that all energy already EXISTS. In an Instant. Therefor, we exist as an instant. Time is not as what you perceive, It is an encompassing force.

That would be your metaphysics theory :P

Reincarnation is not "religion". Consciousness flows from one form to the other, however, (like the River Styx) we are washed from the burden of our memories of our past lives. I, myself, am a DreamWorlder. That means that when I die, I will meditate on the next form I want to become (which is a Humpback Whale). You will see. When Creepers dies, you will see Nuclear Submarines being attacked all around the globe! I will unite the Whale People into attacking all the world's Navies and finally bring the world closer to World Peace. I mean, who would ever think of starting a war with whales??? Hmmm?

You are not connected to others.
Have you looked into the river of souls idea?
I took it upon myself a few years back to figure this out for myself.
I'm still 50/50 about it, but I'm leaning more towards the possibility of reincarnation. (Versus dreamless sleep scenario, post-death.)
The bigger reason being that you're you right now.
If it happened once, what makes it impossible to happen again?

Yes. Our consciousness is just the summation of our brain activity, the synaptic happenings that occur there. Everything about our consciousness begins and ends with the brain. The idea that these patterns are somehow transferred somewhere else is, as you said nietzche, a desperate attempt by ourselves to rationalize our deaths. Once the brain dies, so does our consciousness, our "self". The other energy that is used by our bodies does not contain some "life essence", just plain ol' run-of-the-mill energy.

I prefer a more westernised-buddhist view of the topic, where reincarnation is but a metaphor. We never stop evolving, changing, we cannot even if we so wished. Tomorrow you will not be the same person you are today, nor can you ever be so again. We are reborn each moment, our actions ever changing who we are.
It ties in well with a westernised view of karma, basically it is a brilliant metaphor for the fact that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Everything you do has consequences, whether you can see or understand said consequences or not.

Learn from your mistakes where you can, but do not dwell on the past. Plan ahead where you can, but do not fantasise too much about the future. All we have is a never ending stream of "here and now"'s, seize the moment, seize the day. Only by your actions here and now can you impact who you will be tomorrow.
:ugeek:

Ask "me" again in 15 years ;)

I told you in 436 AD, I told you in 1532, and I'm telling you NOW.
There is no reincarnation.

Reincarnation or not, what will lead to a sinner being saved if not Father Yah through individual faith in Yahushua as Messiah and repentance?
