That was funny. I watched it twice.nietzsche wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJuNgBkloFE
If I wanted to I could do that but why wouldn't you just skip a grade?HapSmo19 wrote:I snoozed in class and drooled big puddles on my desks every day. Then, in ninth grade, they told me I was testing at college levels just about everywhere anyway. So I was like: "Cool, I guess I'm done then." And so I quit and got a job and pussy and drugs and a dirt bike and a guitar and amp.
Be cool, stay in school.

Stop drinking soda/tea/alcohol/coffee. I'm not kidding. Back when I was in school, I had similar problems. Once I gave up on the soda, my school world literally changed.40kguy wrote:I'm curious how you guys payed attention in school or pay attention in school because I honestly can't I acctually fell asleep a couple of times in school.
No, precisely the opposite of this.muy_thaiguy wrote:Shitloads of caffiene every day. I was addicted. A Moutain Dew in the morning, a Frappacino (however you spell it) just before my first class, a bottle of tea for my next class, then lunch, then weight training (followed by either tea or iced coffee)/SSR (same, but during class) (depending on the day, it was either weight training or SSR), and then school got out. Repeat for the whole week.

This will help short-term, but there's a reason he needed to keep hitting it. Give the shit up and you'll have a really rough two weeks, and then you will find yourself perky and happy all day (provided you're going to bed at a reasonable hour).
The problem with caffeine is that it literally stays with you long after you've finished feeling the physical affects of it...it's keeping your brain wired and you don't get the restful sleep that you need. It creates a never-ending cycle of needing to re-invigorate.
If you don't mind me asking, do you only drink water then? Tap water or mineral water?Woodruff wrote:Stop drinking soda/tea/alcohol/coffee. I'm not kidding. wow i hardly have any sugar. now meat on the other hand you need protein.mpjh wrote:I am with woodruff on this. No sugar in your diet. No fast food. No chips. eat fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, and as little meat as you can stand. Also get sleep at home -- get eight hours at night.
Nevertheless, even if you do all that, school can be mind-numbing boring and put any sentient person in a stupor. So, fight, fight for interest classes, fight for better teachers. If you are going to get kicked out, get kicked out for demanding something better rather than for letting the bastards get you down.
I drink loads of water, yes. But not ONLY water...I'm no longer a student. As a teacher, it's ok if I slee...er...never mind. <smile>nagerous wrote:If you don't mind me asking, do you only drink water then?
