I hope you're wrong about Dallas.

The Jets are favored and playing on their home turf, so it's a long shot and it also has
two defensive minded brothers coaching on opposite sidelines.

I think you're wrong about Ten/Jax. Titans were already doing pretty well pre-season, and they have Chris Johnson back now. That's always a tight one, though I'd pick Tenn to win it. But probably the win goes to the team that has the fewest players thrown out!

I saw Broncos were the favorites in the newspaper. But they ALWAYS DROP AT LEAST ON GAME TO OAKLAND AND KANSAS CITY EVERY FUCKING SEASON (especially considering the absolute ass-raping Oakland gave to the Broncos last year).

It's a Monday-nighter thankfully, so at least I don't have to use some weird, illegal website to stream poor-quality Broncos games.

Doc, I gave Jacksonville the home field nod expecting a tight game and though the Broncos should prevail at Mile High Stadium, figure some youthful enthusiasm and underachieving hunger may squeeze the Raiders into the win column.

Dallas vs. Jets, battle of the over-rated QBs

Oakland went 6-0 against the AFC West last season. Not saying that it's happening again this year, but I'd give them the nod over the Broncos also. (Also, I have Run DMC in my main fantasy league this year)

Ha ha... you really need to dump "overrated" from you vocabulary
and maybe go with overpaid instead.

Tony Romo has no Super Bowl ring but he's already accomplished a lot in a very
short NFL career as a starter. Mark Sanchez --only entering his third year-- has
been effective managing the game and doing what they've asked him to do.
How can either of these guys be overrated?

The worst phrase of course any commentator uses is... "that guy's the most underrated
player at his position." No player in the NFL is underrated, or they wouldn't be there.
Ok experts... Let's see your picks for the Week 1.
Come on cupcakes... SUCK IT UP!

But with Jacksonville cutting Garrard, I don't see their offense putting up many points. I don't have much confidence in Luke McCown.

Sanchez is being given a gift with the best defense in the NFL yet HE is the reason they can't get to the Super Bowl (27th in pass rating last year). Until he shows me he doesn't suck absolute cock, I'll believe he's over-rated. He had such great receivers and running backs last year (I HATE the Jets, but I can't deny their talent) and did nothing.

Romo is good, but not good enough.

Um AoG... you just explained exactly why Sanchez isn't overrated.
Romo has at times been excellent, but is definitely good. It seems
like he's been playing this game for ages, but only has a couple of
seasons on the field as a starter.

Hey I actually rooted for the Skins all game long =D>
and the Niners too.

Newton's game against the Cards was a stellar debut
and should give Carolina hope for the future.

BUT... the Jets game just absolutely gutted me completely.
Dallas had 'em BY THE BALLS and they gave it away.
both overrated QBs threw for 300+ yards, 2 TDs & 1 INT.

They threw the ball 80 times combined. When you throw the ball that many times, I'd hope you'd get over 300 yards. Romo threw an ABSOLUTELY AWFUL interception (like, he wasn't even close to Bryant) on their second to last drive and Sanchez almost threw an interception (it should've been caught by the Dallas DB) right before they kicked the game winning FG.

They are both very over-rated.

10-6 is a good start for Week 1 picks AoG.

St.Louis started great against Philly and then the wheels came off the cart,
Carolina was in good shape most of that game in Phoenix, the Skins found
some defense in the second half and Harbaugh still has Carroll's number...
but it took a lot of Ginn to seal the deal.

OAK @ BUF Bills score TDs on all 5 second half possessions for a big comeback win
GB @ CAR Newton still impresive with 400+ passing yards
KC @ DET
CLE @ IND Looks like Indy is in big trouble
TB @ MIN
CHI @ NO
JAC @ NYJ
SEA @ PIT
BAL @ TEN wtf?
ARI @ WAS Skins all alone on top of the NFC East at 2-0
DAL @ SF Romo get's it done in OT with a cracked rib
CIN @ DEN Orton tosses 2 TDs and squeeze by the Bengals
HOU @ MIA
SD @ NE
PHI @ ATL Vick knocked out of game in the 2nd half, Ryan takes a licking and keeps on ticking
STL @ NYG a tough pick with so many injuries on both teams, but Ram receivers can't catch the ball.

9 - 6

DAL @ SF
CIN @ DEN

STL @ NYG As much as I like the Rams, Sam Bradford's finger has me too worried to pick them.

I like Colt McCoy, but the Browns failed to score in the second half
against the Bengals. The Colts got thumped bad in Houston and
should rebound at home this week, even without Peyton Manning.

The Skins second half defense was impressive against the Giants,
the Cards were moving the ball in the second half of their game
with the Panthers... so we'll see which trend holds up this week.

Dallas's special teams played well, with the exception of Trufant
blocking a 4th Quarter punt to tie the game. I don't expect Ginn
to put 2 TDs on the board this week.

I like Bradford too and if his receivers could actually catch well
thrown passes that might have been a tight game against Philly.
Giants have a lot of injuries on defense, but the Rams have them
on offense... so I'm giving home field advantage the nod.

Chargers over the Pats is a long shot and may be an entertaining
shoot out. Miami's Henne put up 400+ yards on New England and
I expect Rivers to have a big game too.
