I bet the voluntary tech team is way more productive and are held back by lack's laziness. I was talking to someone.. and he said to me that lack has developed an alcohol addiction and is sober only until 2pm.

I understand that everyone may not like every decision made by lack or by anyone else involved with CC (including myself). I'll admit there are decisions I've disagreed with. However you must remember that lack is only one person, even if he spent every waking minute coding new updates he still wouldn't be able to keep everyone happy. He does what he believes is best, and what allows for even bigger and better things in the future. You must also understand that every person that lack gives access to the inner-workings of CC is a security risk, and the help he's found in the past doesn't exactly have a great track record.

TL;DR: Even though some of the decisions lack makes aren't always what you think is best, I (and many others in the community) support him.

well if he had some man,who are pay to create maps,then he will not have 200 maps,and he will not going to hurry to create map fast, also all these map will have same style.
Ofcourse that voluntaire work are best,because you create something what you like to do, but all voluntaire work not last forever,expecialy when you voluntaire for person who had money benefit,and you dont have nothing.

Maybe lack spends more then ten hours a day working for cc, and next to his business he also does all the coding by himself. So maybe if he hired a lot more people the site would have more coding stuff, or we would all find our accounts reset by a disgruntled employee. Is the question how many hours he spends on cc stuff, or only how many hours of those he spends on actual coding? Are you for real with your trash talk? Maybe you have not heard it from someone but the ring of flames is no more....

Such things as, i dunno, daily back-ups of the site and separation of privilege have been thought of before, lack isn't the first person in history to have to deal with this "problem".

Ultimately,what I seem to notice as an outsider looking in, is that lack doesn't want to try to turn this into a real business. Not sure why, but he seems content to stay at the hobby site level.
Not saying that's good or bad or anything, it IS his choice after all.

To be honest, I think you're underestimating the work Lack does a bit. There is a nice little thread (since august) in the forum for volunteers, which indicates what Lack has been doing each week. Investigating server slowness, daily hickups, solving small bugs, implementing conquer cup and round limits are among those things. And those smaller things do tend to take a lot of time, and most of the changes have to be tested too (and for layout changes it has to be tested in multiple browsers). If he can do that in less than an hour a day (as far as I know, he does those things all by himself), he's quite special.

But I don't think he's coding 6 hours a day either (he has other things to do too).

I know he has to do a ton of stuff before actually implementing new code, I'm a programmer. Or was. He needs to think whats best, plan it, code it (which is the fun part) and then test it like 100000 times, a fucking coma could create a chaos in here.

I bet he spend most his time dealing with the server, analyzing shit, debugging weird bugs and all. I'm pretty sure the premiums still doesn't give him enough to hire a full time capable programmer.

I don't dislike lackattack but he's just a public figure here, is not personal I'm just using him as a meme, I don't care if he drinks or not, if he goes to church or not.

The Tech Team are definitely capable and are great assets. I've wanted to get them more involved, and we are starting to do that (The Wall Mod, etc). I'm going to continue to work with the Tech Team so we can identify things that are within their reach.
