The scoring system is (Losers Score / Winners Score) * 20
Moved to the Q&A forum (this one's for tournament-specific issues).

That's as specific as you are gonna get... (Loser's Score divided by Winner's Score) x 20

20(L / W)
L = loser score right when game finished
W = winner score right when game finished
You make this calculation for each loser in the game and add them all up to get points received by the winner.

Then of course, when you tire of earning those points you just exit stage left and reappear as another account eh eggy poos?

I wouldn't recommend it.

Let's say that you have 1000 points and you beat somebody who has 1500 points.
Winner's score = 1000
Loser's score = 1500
So using the expression of (Loser's score/Winner's score)*20 we get:
(1500/1000)*20 = 30
You would have gained 30 points. The loser would have lost these points.
You now have 1030 points and your opponent has 1470.

Your score changes all the time. When you created your account, you got 1000 points to start with. Along with your playing you gain and lose points according to the formula the ones above have mentioned. I don't really know what more can be said about it...? You have to be more specific about what you're curious about.

i see what your getting at now
i thought that certain actions and strategies throughout the game influenced the final score/points.
can you also explain how spoils are calculated? why is it important when we have a set of cards that some are owned and some arent?

If you own the territory of a spoil you trade, you'll get an additional 2 armies deployed on that territory.

does it make a difference if they are all the same colour and also does it matter how many troops/ terrortories you have?

In flat rate, you get 4 armies for a red set, 6 for a green, 8 for a blue and 10 for a mixed set.
In escalating you get 4 armies for the first set cashed in, 6 for the second. Note: it's not necessarily the first YOU cash but the first in the GAME. i.e. Player 1 cashes first, he gets 4, then player 2 cashes and he gets 6.
Territory count or anything else does not influence the value of your spoils.

and dont forget phlaim......
''what's wrong with reading the instructions before posting?''
NB if you spent more time giving new people more information less time being so irritable then maybe we wouldnt have to post to get the information we should have been given in the first place

Instructions wrote:[...] The value of these spoils depends on which spoils game option was chosen: escalating or flat-rate. You also get a 2 troop bonus on any region that you own if it is represented in the group.
That's what you read in the instructions. Simply says the amount of armies you get is depending on what the game option was. If it were depending on anything else it would've said so.

p.s. about the other stuffs you wrote, take it to flame wars if you want to flame me. I'm not here to flame, I'm just pointing out some very obvious stuff.
