Also.. What About an Advance to board walk Card as a territory in the middle of the board? could add an interesting strategy to the game.... it could border the corners or something..... Also what do you think about
using the House & Hotel Pieces to symbolize (Or Break Up a territory ... And You could use the tokens as well ( shoe, Car, Horse, IRON, Battleship, THimble, Etc. Etc. Etc......)
Just my .02... if blue is worth the most with only a few territories then it HAS to have the most borders or direct/indirect paths to attack it.
Get rid of the -1 idea.. add in the Advance to go card as another territory some where connected to a rr. that way Go is always just two territories away from all RR and thusly Boardwalk is alway open to attack
I am equating Blue to Europe in classic risk, open all around yet worth the fight.
I look forward to playing this for real on the table!
Since Monopoly( I own 35 of them) and Risk ( I own 8 versions) I LOVE THIS IDEA!!!!

sorry... all the usual excuses (trips, jobs, girlfriends, etc., etc.). I've got a little free time tonight and tomorrow. I need to go over the map with the new xml capabilities in mind (starting the tax space with neutral player, etc.) and see how that effects things.

I really love this map idea and am glad you didn't abandon it.
I have some ideas, but I'd like to see the most recent version so I'm sure my suggestion is not redundant.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but I think jail should be -1 armies

May i suggest:
Jail: (since u didnt like the idea of -1, then how about)...making it have no escape. Jail cant Attack any square.
Also owning Archest and it's sheild/Owning Chance and it's question marks, should should give u some continent bonus as well.
riskopoly

it's funny because someone invented that game, combining risk and monopoly, like 30 years ago. there are official rules online. I can get anyone to play with me. But this map looks good

GirlfriendS?

You'd better be just showing off for the CC boys, or I'm ratting you out, Otto.
But seriously, I think this map is close... let's get the discussion rolling again so it will get the attention it deserves.
Oh, and I like the idea of not being able to get out of jail - kinda like Alcatraz on the SF map.

If the jail stays a one-way ticket, then the adjoining territories should probably connect with something to make the map playable instead of a dead-end.

The just visiting square on the real monopoly board would be a good way to bypass jail if it were made unable to attack.

Hmm... it could be two squares, one "Just Visiting" around the outside which you could pass through normally, and one "In Jail" square that was attack in only.

I'm not sure this map is active anymore - the last update was in April. I do hope that this map does eventually make it, but if it is abandoned, I have interest in continuing it (with a different version).

the no one would go for or ever stay in Jail.... You need to make it strategically Viable for any real purpose... Remember Alcatraz Gives you a +1 per Continent Owned... Jail would need to be a Dead end ... but give a bonus or make it a one way to Boardwalk making the more valuable territory a hard one to defend.... Or make Jail, Go, Free parking and advance to jail a bonus worthy continent

you could some how incorporate the rank names into the board. i'm exactly sure - maybe instead of property names u have rank names. just a thought...
Resurrect Riskopoly?

Me likes very much!!! Might it be cool to have it that you can only attack clockwise... or not?? Apart from the chance cards etc.

You have the colors for chance and community chest mixed up. Other than that it seems cool.

If jail is a one way ticket it shouls have a bonus like in Alc in SF.
Maybe the Jail should negate the incom Tax (- 1 arm)

Sounds like a good idea to me.
