Re: Craig

Moderation in the conquerclub forums used to be much stricter, around 2006-2008 it occasionally reached the point of being comical. Even as things lightened up, sometimes a person that did good things for the site like create new maps would get banned, possibly for a mild infraction. We complained a...

Re: Craig

Can there be some arbitration between Craig and the Mod(s) in question? Do you think it hasn't been tried, many times, many ways, over the last two years? Unfortunately, mediation involves a willingness to compromise on both sides. When you get someone who won't budge an inch, insists he's right in...

Re: BAR-B-QUE puts people in a good mood

I loaded the chimney a bit more than usual and let it hangout for half an hour. I don’t know if there’s something wrong with my bag of Royal Oak briquettes but it took that long to get lit. Seems like a long time.

Sausages turned great but I don’t love charcoal yet.

Of course you might still be unable to figure it out.

Re: Canada's election

From what I read NDP was decimated down to 7 seats, and Block went from 33 seats to 22 seats. Liberals and Conservatives both gained seats. The Conservative PM candidate actually lost his seat to a liberal. Yes that's correct. Also the leader of the NDP lost his seat then stepped down, he will lead...

Re: BAR-B-QUE puts people in a good mood

I forgot to mention a couple of locations of Dicky's opened in town. We decided we better investigate. Had pretty low expectations from the last time we went to one years ago in Washington State. I hope it was not just a good night, it was quite delicious. Apart from the beans everything was the way...

Re: BAR-B-QUE puts people in a good mood

Yeah I thought if I let the chimney burn for 20 minutes it would use up too much fuel before I get a chance to cook. I noticed last try letting it go for fifteen was way better so I think that might be a big part, along with using a bit more charcoal. Definately intending to use it for burgers, saus...

Re: Craig's masterfully written dice thread.

Why doesn't Craig take it upon himself to go out there and attract new players to CC? That's silly. He should build a way better website, steal the paying customers and attract a plethora of new premium players. He'll be swimming in cash in no time. Then he can hire proper mods that of course will ...

Re: BAR-B-QUE puts people in a good mood

Because I remember having trouble lighting briquettes in the past, I did get a chimney. I started out last year with Royal Oak lump on a hibachi I have had for decades, then when I bought the Jumbo Joe I also bought a bag of Royal Oak briquettes. So far I have not mixed the two. In addition to the J...

Re: BAR-B-QUE puts people in a good mood

I grabbed a Weber Jumbo Joe. Odd name since it's basically the medium size unit. I just got it at the end of the season last year so I have only cooked on it a few times. Lighting charcoal is different from using propane or wood pellets so I'm experiencing some transition pains. I found kingsford ea...

Lunar waste water treatment.

I probably don't "get it" sorry Mookie. Easy enough with unlimited energy... If you can figure out a way to more efficiently release the oxygen contained in those minerals as gaseous oxygen, either using much less energy or even better, a process that can harness energy. You might have a p...

He doesn't want a way to bring it back. He was asking for the best ways to recycle it without needing to send oxygen. The current stash is not the issue. They want to benifit from new waste, and preferably use it to grow plants, but it needs to be converted to soil. As you mention it can't bio-degra...

Britons are subjects of HMTK, not citizens.

Have you heard the English national anthem?

Possibly including John Lydon, who refused to be a subject of his mom.

Rest in peace VAL KILMER

That's a bummer. He did a rather good Jim Morrison and Samuel Clemmons as well. Two of my favorite roles of his were Nick Rivers and Chris Knight. Obviously I liked him as Tom Kazanski. He made some interesting art and also was selling hand signed replica old west style playing cards. I thought they...

Right? I'm not sure Cleaveland is vaugly close to consistently good. I'm no Yankees fan but they're typically better than Cleaveland. The Toronto birds seem pretty good until it counts.
