Conquer Club Members,
After several months of hard thinking, a little bit of back and forth debate, and a smidgen of elbow grease it is my pleasure to announce the creation of a new department for our favorite world domination site. This new department is called the
Entertainment Department and will be responsible for overseeing all of the site celebrations, activities, special events, and so forth as well as keeping a watchful eye on the site Twitter feed as Facebook page. The Conquer Club Newsletter will also be underneath this department umbrella.
The intent of this department is to allow members to help contribute to exciting activities such as the Anniversary Celebrations, the St. Patrick's or Halloween speed game extravaganza's, Whac-A-Mod competitions, etc without having to deal with the bureaucracy that comes with becoming a full-fledged TeamCC member. The Entertainment Department Head can add and remove people to help organize activities and events on a case by case basis, hopefully allowing us to enjoy more regular events of a greater variety.
Heading up this new department is our former global moderator,
samuelc812. He applied along with many others who were interested in filling the position and was deemed most fitting for the job. However, he has a nice big list of those who were interested and I wouldn't be surprised if he tapped into some of that eager talent to help get things off the ground and started on the right foot.
With the appointment to Entertainment Department Head, samuelc812 is relinquishing his duties as global moderator, effective immediately, so please direct global moderation issues to the appropriate remaining global moderators of
MeDeFe or
clapper011 as needed.
samuelc812 will be building up his team from those already involved with the Twitter, Facebook, and Newsletter teams as well as new volunteers in the coming days.
It is an exciting time and I for one cannot wait to see what things he has in store for us!
