Twill, our Community Manager, is retiring. Over the past 16 months Twill has done an incredible job caring for and developing our incredible community. He's guided us through crises and scandals, overseen all sorts of special projects, has been a mentor to our team of volunteers and has been out there on the front lines engaging in and listening to members like you.
Twill, I hold a lot of respect for you professionally and personally, I'm grateful for your service to Conquer Club, and I wish you all the best as you move on to greener pastures.
Since Twill's retirement leaves us with such large shoes to fill, we've decided to split up his responsibilities into 2 positions - Volunteer Coordinator and Community Manager.
The Volunteer Coordinator works mostly behind the scenes with Team CC. His job is to provide the tools and support for Conquer Club's fantastic volunteers so that they can do amazing things for the community and have fun doing it. He is also responsible for appointing, training and motivating Team CC members. It is my pleasure to announce that our former Tournament Director, Optimus Prime is coming out of retirement to become the Volunteer Coordinator. With his proven track record growing Tournaments dramatically and being organized up to wazoo, I'm sure he will do an excellent job helping Team CC help you.
The Community Manager is now going to be a much more public position - someone who is out there participating in the community, leading our moderators on the front lines, and setting the tone to make Conquer Club a fun and friendly online hangout. Our new Community Manager is going to be Hyasri who comes to us with 4 years professional experience working as CM on high profile game communities and products at Electronic Arts, Atari and Gameparty. We decided early on to mix one person from inside and one from outside, to bring in some additional expertise, a fresh perspective and to take community which has developed here to the next level. Hyasri is going to start off as a moderator for the next little while to give him time to get to know CC better and finish his orientation with Twill. Please give Hyasri a warm welcome, I think we're fortunate to have him on board
On a final note, king achilles has been promoted to Support Admin and is now officially part of the Administrators group. He will continue to oversee Support Tickets and Multi Hunting, but has authority to make decisions in any other department if the need arises.
