You can now invite other players into your games and reserve spots for them! After joining a game, send invitations from the MyGames -> Awaiting Players screen. The spot is automatically reserved for 24 hours and the player is sent a PM with instructions. You can invite players into public games and private games. You can invite players to specific teams in team games. You can invite just one buddy or reserve all the spots for your entire family.
Want to join a public triples game with your whole team even when your teammates are offline? Just join it and immediately invite your two other teammates! Want to challenge someone to a 1-vs-1 duel? Now you can with a few easy clicks! Want to start an 8 player game with some buddies but let random people join as well? Don't bother with a private game, send out a couple invites to your public game instead!
Now is a good time to start adding your favorite conquerors as friends because the game invitation screen lets you quickly invite friends without typing their usernames.
Game invitations respect the foes list and other restrictions on joining games, except that invited players don't need to know the password to the private game if they are invited. Game invitations are not available for speed games. Like creating private games, only Premium members are allowed to send invitations but Free members can receive invitations. Tournament Organizers are also given access to game invitations to their tournament games via the game finder. Now they can control more precisely who goes in which game and even on which team.
Based on the suggestions from Molacole and from Serbia back in 2007, we've chosen to go with game invitations instead of "convert private to public" or "join as a team" suggestions because it is so flexible. We hope you enjoy this feature and start inviting people right away
UPDATE: I forgot to mention, there is a new option under Game Settings that will let you block game invitations in case you don't want them
Free Premium
Now that we've introduced a new Premium feature, it's only fair that we do something to make it easier to get Premium Membership, right?
TrialPay is now available as an alternative to credit card and PayPal. Click the TrialPay button, complete one of their offers, and you will then get Conquer Club Premium Membership for free! The offers depend on your location, and many involve puchasing something else like movies or flowers, but in the United States you can simply apply for a credit card and that's good enough, even if you never use it
Other Improvements
- Added [find a member] links to all form fields where you type in a username. Clicking the link will open a popup search form to help you find someone.
- Fixed this bug that sometimes gave a game to longer exists error message when you start a private game.
- Fixed this bug that sometimes caused a rating to appear immediately instead of after the game is archived.
- Re-calculated ratings for all players to correct the effects of past bugs.
