Foundry Stamps 2.0

Post by gimil »

A small note today to let you all know that the new map foundry stamps myself and the cartoes put together are now live. From here on out myself and the rest of the cartoes team will be using these new stamps to stamp all you guys lovely maps.

With the new session, the exit of an old friend (coleman) and the rise of a new one (MrBenn) I think it was time to give a fresh look to things for the foundry.

Here they are for everyone to see, let me know what you think:

I think you need some outer glow. And maybe adjust the grunge look a little, maybe a more grainy pattern. I think a Draft stamp for this project is deserved - looking forward to an update.

I think they could do with some coloured glow and the text next to be black.
I look forward to the updates.

I'm presuming the Idea stamp has become the Draft stamp.

Oh man, I just got an Idea stamp, now you're taking it away. You guys are terrible :P

But on a serious note, they look pretty good and I do welcome the Draft stamp. It's hard to keep the chin up when working in Drafts for a while, and a Draft stamp may do well to raise the spirit of people there.

No offence to the artist, but I would like to see other contributions to the stamp graphics, if only to see what people are capable of in a graphic design sense :)

I agree, let's do open source on the stamps. Anyone interested can create their set, with the requirement that Draft must be red in theme, Gameplay green, Graphics blue, and XML yellow. Final Forge and Quench are rather set in stone as it stands, but who says we can't switch it up?

Nice, I see what you did there.

And call me crazy, gimil, but what's wrong with the old stamps? Surely the x number of minutes it took to put these new stamps together could've been better spent elsewhere?

Just seems like change for the sake of change.

I just got the new XML stamp and I don't feel any different than previous XML stamps. I'd say it's nice to get a little change every once in a while
