Graphics Stamp

Post by gimil »

Hi foundry,

A small F.Y.I. today. Just wanted to let everyone know that I have updated the conditions of the graphics stamp today. I have added the following:

-You now need both large and small maps to a suitable community standard
-A new rule reinforcing the need for all concerns to be addressed.

Check it out in the handbook!

Cheers,
gimil

There should be a new stamp called beta, with the map only being quenched after the beta period finishes.

This probably goes in another thread but i didnt think it warranted creating a new thread.

Yes, it probably does go in another thread, and why not, it's Foundry Discussion, not "Only gimil can post threads here" Discussion.

Hm, and who said it was called 'only gimil can post threads here' Discussion? ;)

On the point of a beta stamp, I think the idea would be a little redundant. I would rather see beta map threads tagged [beta]. But it is your foundry so I would rather see what you all have to say.

I agree, a whole new stamp really isn't needed, but [Beta] would be awesome.

We're talking about ways to make the Forge easier to navigate - we've got so many maps right now that it's getting to be harder and harder to find things. Of course, this is a GOOD problem - it means we have a lot of maps!

I agree with oak and on the topic about how difficult the forge is, people need to unsticky their threads after quenching...

1. People do not unsticky their own threads. Only mods can do that.
2. The point of leaving them sticky is that the maps are in BETA stage and are still subject to stage. Once they become normal threads, they are not subject to change and leave BETA

I bet they would still be changed if a major group wants a tweak ;)

No, they would not, or if they were then only in a revamp.

Think about it... a map gets developed, there are complaints. A map is added to the site, there are no complaints. Time passes, there are no complaints. Why would complaints from a large group of people arise afterwards?

Also, people complained about stuff like the British Isles Revamp in large groups. Was is changed? No, with the response that the complains had their correct time to happen.

Plus, the decision to keep the Beta maps as stickies was very recent (this past week, no?)
