Plus, he investigated F1fth as "Non-Fire Nation", and I really don't see how that works out...

I'll add a suggestion to investigate him to know for sure (yea I know I'm spreading the blame, you are free to RB/kill me for it if you want to cover all the bases but I'd urge you to not wast a investigation on a vanilla townie when all info is gravely needed when the eclipse comes).

"The Day of Black Sun, Part 2: The Eclipse"

As soon as the last guard tower had been taken down, Aang used his glider to fly over the inner walls. There were no soldiers here. Everyone was busy fighting the main invasion army. This had been the plan from the start. Aang landed in front of the entrance of palace. He looked up at the coming eclipse. The first signs of the sun darkening were already showing. He would have about ten minutes to find the Fire Lord before the eclipse became full and Ozai would lose his Firebending powers. He had to hurry. Where would the Fire Lord be hiding?

Aang opened the great door leading into the throne room. The throne was empty. It had been a foolish hope to think that the Fire Lord would stay here at a time like this, Aang thought to himself. But at that moment, he felt a surge of heat coming from his right backside. With a quick backflip, Aang just barely dodged the Firebending attack shot at him from behind. He looked to his right and saw a shadow emerging from behind the pillars. It was the Fire Lord himself!



"So you were expecting me after all", Aang said. "Yet you waited for me alone, without any soldiers to protect you. Your pride and arrogance will be your downfall. Today, you will fall and the war will end!"

"Don't be a fool!", Ozai replied. "It doesn't matter how many elements you control. My Firebending powers will be enough to take on anything you throw at me. It is you who will fall today, because you are ignorant and weak!"

"It looks like I know more than you do", the Avatar said with a slight grin.

"I know all about the eclipse, little boy", the Fire Lord laughed. "And I know that it is at least five more minutes away. I will have you dead long before that time!"

With that, the Firebender tossed his robes aside and charged at the Avatar. An intense fight began.



Ozai was powerful. Aang fought with fear in his heart. Using all of his bending skills, he only managed to dodge Ozai's attacks, but was unable to launch a counter-attack. The only thing that gave him hope, was the frustrated look that appeared on the angry face of the Fire Lord after a minute or two. Obviously, Ozai had not planned for the fight to take this long. He had expected a boy as young as Aang to be defeated in a few moments, Avatar or not. He had gravely underestimated Aang.

The Fire Lord became desperate. His attacks flared and he single-handedly burned down the entire throne room in his attempts to hit Aang. A bolt of lightning shot from his fingers. Aang was too late in seeing it coming. He forced a brick wall up from the ground to protect him, but the lightning broke though and struck him! Aang realized he would be dead if the wall hadn't reduced the lightning's power. He tried to get up, but pain surged through his body and he fell down again.

The Fire Lord approached him. "The days of the Avatar end here and now!", he shouted, "And with the arrival of Sozin's Comet, the days of the Phoenix King shall dawn!"

Ozai pulled his arm back and prepared to burn the Avatar to a crisp. His arm shot forward and Aang saw the palm of Ozai's hand stopping inches away from his face. But nothing happened. Ozai had been a moment too slow. The eclipse was full!


It is impossible to use Firebending this night (Night 6)!

Aang felt the feeling slowly returning to his limbs. He got up on his feet. Ozai's face showed fear.

"I wasn't sure if I would be able to kill a man", Aang said with a sad look on his face. "But I realize now that if I don't kill you now, you will bring a darkness to the world it might never recover from. It is the duty of an Avatar to stop you. It's my duty."

He opened the bottle of water that he carried and bended the water into a lance of ice that floated in mid-air. Ozai realized that running would be pointless. He fell to his knees and begged.

"Have mercy. Please, have mercy!"

A tear ran down Aang's face. Then the lance shot forward and pierced the body of the begging Fire Lord. Aang bowed his head in regret as the dead tyrant fell to the ground of his throne room.

"Sozin's Comet, Part 1: The Phoenix King"

Aang was shaking. There was a grey haze blurring his vision. He had once sworn never to take the life of another living being, but there he was, looking at the corpse of Fire Lord Ozai who he had killed just moments ago. He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down.

He walked over to the dead body and turned it on its back. With his fingers, Aang closed the Fire Lord's eyelids. Every man deserves a peaceful passage into the other realm, even one such as Fire Lord Ozai. Aang left him lying there with his arms crossed over his body and left the palace.



Aang hurried back to the battle. The invaders had been weakened at first, but Aang could see that they had taken the upperhand now that the eclipse was full. Aang flew to the highest point on the wall he could find and let out a shout.

"The Fire Lord Ozai is dead! The Fire Lord is no more!"

There were startled faces on both sides of the battlefield. They all stopped fighting for a minute and looked at Aang.



"There will be no crowning of the Phoenix King. There will be no assault on the Earth Kingdom. I have killed your so-called Phoenix King with my own two hands. The war is over!"

There was much cheering on the side of the Earth Kingdom and Water Tribe warriors. Many Fire Nation soldiers retreated to the Royal Palace to see with their own eyes if it was true what the Avatar had just proclaimed. The soldiers that remained fighting had been stripped of their morale and were easily subdued by the invading forces. When the soldiers that had retreated returned from the palace, they dropped their weapons and surrendered without further fighting. Aang still couldn't quite smile, after having killed a man, but deap inside he felt happy.

No one has been killed.

Day seven starts now!

Well I do think that he would need to "clear" a few townies too to be believable as a cop but I do agree that all his "cleared" investigations have to be treated with little trust (unfortunately that means me too ).
IIRC he claimed to have cleared me and PCM (+ 5th and Fir but they are dead already).

I'm guessing that PCM is the last scum but that there might also be a survivor left (a SK seems unlikely with the small amount of NKs lately). I will however wait with the voting until shadow has had a say.

I investigated daydream in order to clear up any doubt that anyone might have had (including myself). He was indeed innocent.

I did not kill anyone last night, as is obvious from the scene.

I protected Ace for obvious reasons.

I did, however, roleblock Pancakemix. And guess what? There was no kill. Any mafia remaining should realize that the logical thing to do in a case like this would be to nightkill the broken power role with no doctors to protect him. I also roleblocked Pancakemix the night before. There was also no kill, though I figured that was because the mafia targetted Ace.

The only one of the cleared I see open for discussion is Thezz, since the kill could have been done by a different member of the mafia. :/
