Thoughts on Vodean: From the scenes I initially thought it was someone else targetting Vodean and putting him in the scenes (in blue)... though I am confused as to why they would target him twice in a row.

A few dark figures are seen in a room. Many have their eyes on one another. However, one can be seen clearly. Vodean is seen rummaging in through another person's personal items. He takes time looking at everything, as if trying to figure something out about that person. There is one man in particular behind Vodean that the camera picks up. He seems to be coming in a bit too close for comfort although Vodean does not seem to notice what's going on as he's still busy looking through all the different personal items.Another motion is detected and the camera goes black.

No one is in the room anymore, they just vanished as quickly as they came in.

Someone nearby clicks save and uploads the footage onto the Captains main screen on the bridge.

jak111 - Day 3 Scene wrote:Camera 048

The room was dark, only a solo figure stood in the room, shifting through more personal possessions of a fellow crew member. He threw clothes onto the floor as he looked for something, anything, he could find. Upon turning his face the camera's facial recognition recognized Vodean, once again looking for something.
"It's here somewhere", the camera overheard him mutter to himself.
Upon checking the rest of the room the camera sees no one else in the room.
Vodean was about to bring something up he found from behind the bed before the camera went dark.

Yes was clicked. The figure soon vanished.

As for the claim; it is definitely solid claim, and the flavour from the scenes support it. I am surprised you came forward and out'd yourself with very little pressure. Some people even saying they were happy to let you continue on as you were. The reasoning of "scum already knows I'm a power role" is redundant because nothing extra was revealed between days 2 and 3. I'm not sure if it's neseccarily scummy, but I definitely find it odd. I would have waited to gauge more peoples reactions first.

Further from the scene flavour: it seems to show if he was targeted and gives some flavour as of what by. Also on both days it mentions who else was in the room. This could be also a way of showing who else is also targetting the person that Vodean targetted. So on night one there were multiple people targetting Vodean's N1 target and on N2 there was no one targetting Vodean or his target (in Green). This could be either a secret part of Vodean's role or the result of a power of someone else.

I would like a name-claim as well or at least some kind of description so people who know about the flavour can confirm for sanity. Not the major issue though.

Also @Vodean, which night did you visit which person. It might be vital to know this down the track if we find out that the extra people in the room on night one become relevent. As a gut instinct I'm thinking that night one having many people in the room looking at each other could be indicitive of a cult or mafia and you may have hit a 'Godfather'-esque role. Though this is all speculation.

As for the person going missing, it could be a whole variety of things. Recruitment, silencing, a kill that has already happened but won't be revealed by the end of the day... I don't think it's a janitor because the thread title is still 18/25 so a silencing or delayed kill seems most likely. I can't think of anything else that logically makes someone disappear.

The info that I am keeping to myself is really only useful in catching mafia in a fake-claim. I could go more into detail about my night actions but I don't think there's anything too vital there. Since I'm already partly out if we get stuck for leads I'll gladly put out all my actions over the last two nights.

At the very least I want an answer from my question on day 2 about the reason that didn't seem to be there. Plus jgordon's response to your defence of him seems like blatant scum buddying.

Sorry for the triple post, but also just to make something clear that I forgot to:

I busdrove Iron Butterfly and Hippo on night one. Iron Butterfly was killed by mafia. So the mafia were targetting Hippo.

Failing some other sort of busdrive or re-direct that means that Hippo isn't mafia unless mafia had a reason to target one of their own.

I'm not saying Hippo is cleared and innocent (there's most likely a whole bunch of other evilness here) but from that we could make the assumption he isn't mafia. Which can be useful looking back at vote patterns or defences.

Fastpost'd by Chuck: I find it a bit odd you're only coming back to respond to votes on you. I don't see how that info seems like only something scum would know... it just seems like a logical deduction; "They either aren't able to post or they're not playing." I don't think you're vote or FOS worthy but I'd like to hear your thoughts on the events of day 2 (which you missed) and any spec you might have on night two.

I noticed you posted nothing Day 2, which is fine if you were bogged down, but I just want to know if there was a reason?

actually, going off of the warm-up game, this does sound like a cult recruit since everyone seems to be alive and posting, and the flavor is somewhat reminiscent. i actually think that chuck, you seem scummier than sam or Doom. i think you are being jumpy and defensive before there is even any pressure on you.

Can someone other than chuck explain what the heck is going on here? I think he just Unvoted me, then, in the end, just voted me.

I guess chuck is silenced and can only vote in the thread, and is telling his faction who he thinks he wants lynched. Anyway, its enough for me to say VOTE THECHUCK51

ALso, I haven't really put any pressure on Chuck, he pressured me the first day about a "Feeling vote" I had about PMC, was quiet all D2. It seems like he only gets one post a day and maybe can vote anytime he wants. But Anyway, my vote stands. THere is something completely crazy about what he is doing, and it is all scummy!

I would assume that he either has a post restriction where he must vote people who accuse him, or he has a power that works depending on who he votes / how many times he votes. It may be some kind of super-bomb that goes off on whoever he votes for in that day phase (a bit farfetched but still possible).

Either way, I definitely don't advocate killing someone because of a post restriction, and I think it's risky to vote him based on what has just happened until he gets a chance to explain himself. He wouldn't of voted and unvoted so much without a reason, and he would have known that he'd come under scrutiny because of it.

I agree, this whole thing smells a bit off to me. But I don't think rushing forward with it is a good idea. Ultimately if he doesn't change his posting or explain it is far safer for a vig to take care of him than vote when he's throwing votes around for (seemingly) no reason.

as for the "scum buddying"
1. I didnt think he was scum. told me not to defend him. tried to bring me down with him.
2. Ive played plenty of mafia games, i know better than to scum buddy.

I asked you to show where in Zim's post you were reffering to for your defence of him. In the following post:

ShaggyDan wrote:The mod changed the colour rule on the last vote count of day one. Also what point did zim make?

zimmah wrote:Jgordon chose not to target anyone, according to him. Even if this is true, it would mean he has a potentially dangerous move like roleblock or vig. I don't believe his claim though. Also since there are already 2 persons who claimed to have been roleblocked, it would be unlikely jgordon is another roleblocker. So that would make jgordon a vig, if he would be telling the truth. Which I highly doubt, as I don't really see a motive for shaggy to expose himself if he would be lying about his claim. (much too dangerous to make such a story up, especially this early in the game). If he's lying he will pay for it eventually.

Your defence of jgordon made no sense at the time and he turned out to be scum. I don't buy into the 'experienced player' defence, it doesn't make you exempt from mistakes. And there are plenty of reasons why even an experienced player would scum buddy like that. Since jgordon was considered 'the leader' of the mafia it's not a stretch to assume he was valuable to them, you spoke up in his defence then he silenced you because he saw there was no way out of it for him.

As for Chuck, until he is able to explain his actions I'm not going to vote on him for reasons I outlined above. Scum wouldn't play this bad without a reason. A jester springs to mind, as does a modified bomb. I'd much rather a vig take care of him.

if we lynch chuck and he flips town, then we can just lynch the people pressuring him

as for testing sam's theory, how about this: we ask chuck yes/no questions. if he quotes our post, then it means no. if he quotes our post and votes us, it means yes.

chuck, does that make sense to you?
