Man, times have changed. It used to be that replacements were hardly ever needed. Now it seems to happen all the time.

Thanks PCM, you believe in me, or someone else named Slash, which is just as good.

Remember when a week was a freaking long time to get a day done? Times sure have changed.

15 confirmations are in, I'll be writing the opening scene.

The Thalmor Justicar ran up the steps of the Thalmor embassy, carrying an important message with him. He reached the top of the stairs and burst into the Ambassador's quarters.

"Ambassador Elenwen, I have (breath) urgent news!"

"What is it, Justicar?" she replied. "I have very little time for interruptions. Ever since the Empire suppressed the Stormcloak Rebellion and killed Ulfric Stormcloak I have been trying to figure out how to keep them on their toes."

"I believe this will help, ma'am." he replied. He handed the message to Elenwen. She opened it and read it. She was stunned.

"The Emperor is here? In Haafingar?" she said.

"That's not all ma'am. He's....

"...he's dead. Killed...by the Dark Brotherhood." She stopped and thought for a moment. "This is exactly what we needed. Justicar, relay this to Alinor, tell them to send troops. We'll never have another opportunity like this. We're taking the Empire down, and it begins here, in Skyrim, following the trail of his royal blood."

Day 1 has begun! Day 1 will by 14 days long, all others will be 10 days long. Nights are 72 hours long. With 18 players it takes 10 to lynch. Deadline will be midnight ConqST on May 15th-16th.

And what of those whom don't play Skyrim at all, and were just looking forward to a mafia game modded by someone they know, amongst a sea of unfamiliar faces?

Well, I'll let the Storm Cloaks deal with you! You're obviously not a Nord, so they'll want your head on a pike!

Vote Crazy for having a life filled with what I can only assume is Skyrim instead of mafia.

ghostly447 wrote:Vote Xenhu Because I has never played with you sir :-s

Fun Fact: I still have a role pm from one of XenHu's old mafia games. It had a link to the mikeburnfire flash site and I hung on to it.

Another Fun Fact: That was also the first game I won as mafia (I think).

Unvote, Vote PCM for mentioning being mafia and winning in the same sentence!

Also we should set a deadline for everyone for joke voting... Say till Friday?

I'm going to appeal to my Xbox on this one.

Also, joke voting is just a natural thing. You can't force it to end, because you don't have any tells. Not that it'll last more than a day or two anyway, most likely.

Ugh, I forgot about this. Probably my least favorite part of the game.

I'm going to be a grumpy old codger, and tell you all just how much I loathe joke votes. I disliked it when I used to play, and I dislike it now. The only reason I used to let it slide before was that, while it happened, I don't seem to recall it happening within the first 5 posts of day 1. Now, back in my day, when votes weren't tossed around like a five-dollar whore on Fishbowl Fridays, we had this little thing we liked to call FOS. Finger Of Suspicion. I'd love to see that a little more. You know, like this:

FOS: Anyone who registered after 09, was absent during the founding of Spamalot, do not know who Reverend Kyle was, or that my first mafia game was Andy's Finn Rock Fallout
(met a lot of fine people there, shame so few are still around)

Wow, really? I'm impressed pancake! :D Also, that should be required reading for those that play mafia. Shame I can't seem to find the link again myself.

pancakemix wrote:Another Fun Fact: That was also the first game I won as mafia (I think).

Yup, I believe that was V for Vendetta. You had a rather gruesome final kill scene if I recall....

jak111 wrote:Also we should set a deadline for everyone for joke voting... Say till Friday?

Nope. Basically because of what pancake said.

Love it, it helped me fakeclaim to a perfect mafia win my very first game.
Also, sorry, but I am unfortunately forbidden from using emotive finger gestures immediately after reading my role :P
