The Big Lebowski Mafia - Mafia and Lyncher win!

Postby nagerous on Fri Apr 08, 2011 7:23 pm

MAFIA RULES

    1. This game is moderated by me (Nagerous), I am the law. Whatever I say goes. If I make a mistake I’ll do my best to fix it. All roles will be given out randomly.

    2. Do not quote any PMs you receive from the Mod. The only things you may post (loosely paraphrasing) are your roles (and anything associated with them), win condition, and alignment, during the active game. Once the game has concluded, feel free to post the rest of your personal information.

    3. All ā€˜votes’ and ā€˜unvotes’ must be in bold. If they are not, they will not be tallied. (I.E. Vote Nagerous)
** If you vote two or more times consecutively without an unvote in between them, then the first vote will be the one that gets tallied. **

    4. Lynching requires a majority of the town vote, and once the majority has been reached any and all unvotes will not be counted.

    5. Once your death scene has been posted, you are dead. You can no longer post anything revealing or of substance. You may post an "oh shit" post but anything of substance will result in a ban in any future games hosted by me.

    6. You may vote ā€˜no lynch’ to end the day without a death.

    7. The game will not be discussed outside this thread, unless your role specifically says you may do so.

    8. Do not edit/delete previous posts. Whatever you say goes into historical record.

    9. Joking in the thread is fine, but don’t let it get carried away and take over as spam

    10. Be attentive and active in the game. If I see you are not posting at all, I will prod all those who are inactive. If there is no timely response, you will be replaced.

    11. Each game ā€˜day’ will normally last SEVEN 24 hour days. I will remind everyone if the deadline is near, and to look toward voting. If no majority is reached at the end of the seventh 24 hour day, a ā€˜no lynch’ will be forced, sending the game into the night phase.

    12. Similar, each game ā€˜night’ will not last more than 48 hours. If I have not received your night choice within 48 hours, you will have lost your choice action (I.E. for mafia, there would be a ā€˜no kill’, etc).

    13. If you have any questions about whether you should or shouldn’t do something, or just need some clarification, feel free to PM me.

    14. Mafia have fake claims. Don't believe everything you see. Whilst the various claims/roles may seem radically different to the characters in the film, this is a game where knowledge of the film will be largely beneficial so I urge you all to watch it if you get a chance!

    14. Have fun!

Walter Sobchak: Saturday, Donny, is Shabbos, the Jewish day of rest. That means that I don't work, I don't drive a car, I don't fucking ride in a car, I don't handle money, I don't turn on the oven, and I sure as shit *don't fucking roll*!
Donny: Sheesh.
Walter Sobchak: Shomer shabbos!
The Dude: Walter, how am I going to...
Walter Sobchak: Shomer fucking shabbos.
The Dude: Oh f*ck it. I'm out of here.

The Stranger:

A way out west there was a fella,
fella I want to tell you about, fella
by the name of Jeff Lebowski. At
least, that was the handle his lovin'
parents gave him, but he never had
much use for it himself. This
Lebowski, he called himself the Dude.
Now, Dude, that's a name no one would
self-apply where I come from. But
then, there was a lot about the Dude
that didn't make a whole lot of sense
to me. And a lot about where he
lived, like- wise. But then again,
maybe that's why I found the place
s'durned innarestin'.

The Stranger:

Now this story I'm about to unfold
took place back in the early nineties--
just about the time of our conflict
with Sad'm and the Eye-rackies. I
only mention it 'cause some- times
there's a man--I won't say a hee-ro,
'cause what's a hee-ro?--but sometimes
there's a man.
And I'm talkin' about the Dude here--
sometimes there's a man who, wal,
he's the man for his time'n place,
he fits right in there--and that's
the Dude, in Los Angeles.

We join this story, where the Dude has been hired by The Big Lebowski to rescue Bunny Lebowski, who the nihilists are holding for ransom. All he really wants is his rug back, which has been micturated on by some chinaman (we're not talking about someone who built the railroads here). It really tied the room together.

DAY 1

With 16 alive it takes 9 to lynch!
