again, my thread is not about the Horseman Clan. It is about 1 player that used 2 accounts to join and set up games with only 1 intention which was to cheat. I knew in advance that David,Nephilim, and khazalid would race here just to flame and Blitz, Genghis, and I figured Comic remaining neutral and the others not posting. I was right so far. But the bottom line is, he cheated and it needs to be addressed.

Long topic. Let me see if I got this correct:

1) Mughal_dienasty had to be away for a couple of days and with mughal_dienasty's permission or request, aliakber1001 took his turns for some of his games.

2) Three of these games were team games where aliakber1001,mughal_dienasty and Big Whiskey are teammates and coincidencially, these games are against JOHNNYROCKET24.

3) For the sake of argument, this account sitting happened for 2 rounds or so.

JOHNNYROCKET24's concern is that aliakber1001 has manipulated and used this tactic in order for aliakber1001 to have an advantage by using two accounts to win the games against JOHNNYROCKET24.


This is getting too messy than it should have been but I can understand JOHNNYROCKET24's concern.
However, this is going to be treated as an isolated incident and we don't think that aliakber1001's intention was to cheat in the first place, otherwise why bother announcing that he will be taking turns for mughal_dienasty. I have checked the IP information at the dates where mughal_dienasty supposedly went away and supposedly came back and seems to be pretty consistent with what they say. This alledged cheating happened in one particular time frame coinciding with the player's excuse of why this taking of turns took place. Therefore, they are cleared of account sitting abuse. If any of you have a personal vendetta for some of the players here and use this "going away" tactic, we will always check our tools if it supports your alibi. Hopefully, mughal_dienasty have already changed his password so that aliakber1001 will not be tempted to sign in and use his account from now on, whether it be permitted or not.

Since this report has already been made, and aliakber1001 has already the log in information of mughal_dienasty's account, there is now the possibility of aliakber1001's capacity to continue to log in to that account without anyone's knowledge, and therefore, may cheat or misuse mughal_dienasty's account. This report is noted because of that. Nevertheless, if we receive any future similar complaints involving the same players, the outcome may be different at that point. Let this be an unofficial warning for aliakber1001 and mughal_dienasty.

To avoid similar incidents like this, perhaps you could tell all the players first if you are going to let someone make your turns for a certain amount of time and test their reaction, especially if one of the players is one of your 'special' friend in the community. There's no law against it but if it could avoid certain conflicts among players, why not?

Because of this situation, we've felt it's necessary to put in writing what is and isn't allowed when someone is temporarily babysitting your account. FAQ 15 has been updated to read as follows:

15. Can I let another player take a turn for me when I am away from the game?

You can, with the stipulation that the account babysitter is not your opponent in any current game and does not start or join new games (except for ongoing tournaments). It is common courtesy to announce in game chat that another player will take your turn(s) during your absence.
