as far as ive seen the biggest official reason was his multiple comments in games that are not his, insightly argument and not leaving when asked (all against the rules).

I've seen dozens and dozens of players do this.

Do these dozens and dozens of players have a history of warnings and previous bans?

What they don't have is a group of players who HATE them, and do everything they can to get others to hate them, and whine incessantly for them to be banned.

Along with not having a history of warnings and previous bans, of course.

For anybody who plays speed games or has been high ranked for a time, knows max loves to watch games. He likes to watch all high rankers. He used to be really pleasant and say gl, etc. Then he start to get better himself and got ruder and more outspoken.

Couldn't possibly be him reacting to certain players goading him, telling him he was useless, that he only won points by farming, starting multiple threads attacking him, hijacking threads that were nothing to do with him and turning them into attacks against max etc. etc.

He couldn't possibly have been reacting to that, no. One day he just woke up and thought he'd go from being pleasant to being a prick...(because that makes total sense, cos nothing in life has a reason, everything is just random..)

Not at all. He used to be friends with many of us. As he got better himself he started calling out mistakes and plays. Now remember most of these were freestyle speed games. Nobody needs someone calling out your mistakes as you are trying to play. Slowly he managed to piss off just about every speed game player. He did not make a single post on the forums until his cheating thread came up. By this point he was already far gone with most of us.

You could probably get a Harassment Restraining Order, for more info you can look at this, but to bring out the important bits:

"A person who is a victim of harassment may seek a restraining order from the court.
The restraining order prohibits harassment.

Harassment includes:
1. Repeated, intrusive, or unwanted acts, words, or gestures that are intended to adversely affect your safety, security, or privacy, regardless of the relationship between you and the alleged harasser;
3. A pattern of attending public events after being notified that one's presence is harassing to another."

I guess that sums it up...
Now I see a lot of people who are angry with Max's ban, mostly from the Farmers Guild, which is good, it's always good to support people in a community you believe in. However, bashing others and saying other people should also be banned does not belong here. If you have complaints about other people, then open another thread.

Well couldn't have Max avoided them to hate him if he had just left them alone? And wouldn't people not fall to their words if Max had proved them to be wrong with solid, well thought and mature arguments?

Max has been banned, and we will be launching some new farming rules in the next few days

Looking into the evidence, and max's behaviour in the games mentioned, I applaud this decision, particularly if he had

a history of warnings and previous bans

I also hope the new farming rules come soon.

Now, personally I didn't know max other than from the posts he's made on Suggestions forum, but he does seem like a provocative guy who tries to attract attention towards himself by stirring up trouble, which can easily disrupt the community of the site. And again, personally, I think anyone who enjoys getting points from people with potentially lower skills than them, rather than enjoying the game for the challenge it presents, are missing the whole point of the game itself and are abusing an inefficient system (inefficient because while score should reflect a player's skill at the game it only reflects the player's skill to gather and hold on to those points, beating the whole purpose of them even existing).

People are free to enjoy themselves in whatever way they like the most as long as it doesn't interfere with other people's right to enjoy themselves as well, and abuse in any form or shape should always be prevented so I'm looking forward to the anti-farming rules that will come into play.

I hope this is a step forward towards a community that can learn to respect each other, and the guidelines made for peaceful coexistence and overall enjoyment of the game.

The latest incident was following specific users into games and disrupting their games. I warned him to stop this behavior, but within 24 hours of the warning he was back at it.

If you are intentionally or continually making this community less enjoyable for others, you're going to be removed from it. It's that simple

When was max ever busted for being a multi? I don't believe that his prior busts ever had anything to do with multiple accounts.

max was busted for a multi with maxs account. There is a thread some place about it. He was "teaching his parents" on that account, but from the chat you can clearly see it was him.

max was busted for a multi with maxs account. There is a thread some place about it. He was "teaching his parents" on that account, but from the chat you can clearly see it was him.

I was wrong, he was later cleared for this. He got himself into trouble though for having access to a large number of accounts (he knew the current password and had logged into more than 10 different accounts). Sorry for he mistake.
