Comments- At first they were playing a normal game until I started doing good and looked as though I was going to come out victorious and then all of a sudden they only go for my bonuses and start to not attack each other unless they need it to hold a continent.

Not commenting either way on the alleged alliance, but when one player gets strong, the others do tend to go after him/her in order to keep the board balanced. It may look like an alliance, when in fact it's just good game play.
