Seriously? Well regardless of hacking, a point reset should be handed out, maybe they went to the UK to play off this scam, or proxies were involved. The vast change in Velvecarrots points should not be allowed.

Just verifying this is correct. I was talking it over with velve, as well as NS and the accounts have been banned so the hacked accounts wouldn't have anything else happen to them.

I'm pretty sure they won't allow the points to stay how they are now. Whether it's resetting to their original points, or completely back to 1000...I'm honestly not sure of the policy on that. I can tell you that from what I can tell velve was not involved in this at all. He sent me a message on MSN as soon as he could no longer access his account and couldn't get his password sent to his e-mail he signed up with. I seriously doubt the points will stand as they are now...but the banning occurred so there would not be a greater point fluctuation.

We're pretty sure we know what happened (NS, velve, and myself), but it should be figured out pretty quickly.

I really do find it shocking and disgusting that someone could hack into someone else's account and interfere in their games.

This has actually happened to us recently too........some hacked into the BENJIKAT IS DEAD account, took his turns and changed the password and email address so that Ben and i couldn't access this account we paid paid for.........

*smiles*......luckily i was able to resolve this and get back said information......but still.......i think the "friends" who was entrusted with a password and then STOLE in this manner ought to be ashamed of themselves.

There has been a multiple account hack in LoW affecting several members. We are taking measures to determine which accounts are affected, and which are susceptible to attack. This is being sorted out internally, and I am liaising with the mods about what steps should be taken. If anyone has questions, PM me, I'll answer what I can.

Current speculation is that it's benji's_widow. BENJI had all the turn taking passwords stored in saved messages we believe - I think maybe 4 accounts were affected all up including BENJI's. I'd say the IP addy would be the same as benji's_widow, though I've heard no correspondence from the mods.

This sux even more than usual as we were trying to wrap up all of Benji's games, in tournaments and clan challenges and so replaced him with...

So our G1 challenge is basically screwed, and all the tournament stuff, including the Olympics Clan tournament challenge (which just entered it's next round) will see a whole bunch of deadbeating by our clan.

Personally, I'm not real happy about it all, and it shits me that i've been caught up in something from some (and I hope Ben doesn't take this personally) some dumb b*tches attempt to prove that she is genetically retarded in the head, brain, face, and whereever the f*ck else. I, and several others, are doing our best to keep the clan running, and stunts such as this only serve to induce Ben back to somewhere where he is actually appreciated, and not treated like some f*cking prisoner of war.

Just in response to this ... the password was changed and Benji was aware of it, and what the password was changed to. There is no doubt about this, especially in light of the actions that ensued.

I dearly hope the mods can see what is going on here, and take the appropriate action against the user [player]benjis_widow[/player]. Whatever the motivation, it is entirely unnecessary for it to affect a multitude of people.

Figured something along these lines.I'm sure this will be fixed and for the record Velve had 3749 before any of this started to occur so if we are talking a score reset maybe back to his original score? Also most people are only aware of the speed games created and missed the fact she went into casual games and killed off/attacked our teammates!!!
