i say roll with it. Jersey needs to represented (I mean we have New York!). Are you any good with photoshop or a similar graphics program? Do you understand the importance of layers? I used to live in the Highlands (Monmouth Country), and my wifes ENTIRE family lives in Maplewood (South Orange area) - so I've got a little extra incentive to follow the map. Good Luck - i hope you stick with it!

I definitely think you should at least add the Garden State Parkway, and some cities too. Make it a bit more exciting with some good gameplay. Maybe start with a neutral city in each county and give a +1 bonus for each city you hold. Maybe put major factory areas and labor resources, some natural resource regions as well. Make it worth having this as a new map. Its getting hard to get new maps in and I love New Jersey, so lets make a good effort on it. I'll keep a watch on the map and make suggestions as we go along.

GSP is a good idea. What about Atlantic City also.

Good thoughts. I will start by adding cities in each county and the garden state parkway....... then we can go from there.
thanks you for your thoughts....continue sending more

im not so sure about this one,

you do realize, that new york possible had some sort of symbol-like effect, and that it is in fact, well known world-wide?

by doing new jersy as simple as that, you are going to start recieving requests for all of the states...

im not sure, but my "this will be funny" sense is tingling

Well, we already have almost every important battle in WWII and most countries in europe several times over, and yet if you look around, the far majority of people on this site are from the us, who only know of those places by reading about them. Why not have maps where a large number of the players are actually familiar with and love them. Can we really have "too many" maps as long as they're all unique in some way? I mean, we could start sub categorizing them if it takes too long for you to scroll through them to find the one you want. In fact, I think that's a good idea as it is: making categories for the maps, along with a list of them all together. I'll propose that when I find the right place to propose it.

Also, I would recommend an insert for the highly populated area around New York, including the Hudson front and Newark and the surrounding area, so as to be able include more territories and make it a bit more interesting.

I like the Hoboken idea.....or maybe Atlantic City. Could I use the Casino names? or is that a copyright thing? I could always use nick names like "Trop" and "The Taj"

Survey...... which would you rather see......Hoboken or Atlantic City for an inset map?

somewhere I have a usual post I leave when somebody starts a new state map... searching... and found:

Sadly, US state maps rarely attract a wide audience, because they are generally only interesting to folks who live in that state. I've seen dozens of state maps, from California, New York, Arkansas, Arizona, Pennsylvania, etc, go down in flames because they don't get much support. If you are dedicated to making this happen your best bet will be to find some aspect of the state beyond simple geography that pulls people in - major cities, economic factors, terrain features, historical period, etc. In short, try to find yourself a theme.

[Moved]

It would appear that development of this map has stalled. If the mapmaker wants to continue with the map, then one of the Foundry Moderators will be able to help put the thread back into the Foundry system, after an update has been made. ;-)
