Re: Thailand (pg.9 / airports / bonus values)

I couldn't quite find this on the first page -- does the ship start neutral? If not, it should.

A suggestion to make which airport connects with what: shade Trang's airport grey, then make Samut Prakan's airport half grey, half white.

Also, I don't suppose there's a better name for "East"? It's not really the most eastern portion of the map...

Yes it will start neutral, i don't think i put that down but FarangDemon want it neutral, i remember that... not sure what the value of the neutral will be tho. suggestions?

You think this would look nice? It is pretty clear in the key, i can try something with shading tho and see how it looks OK

Lets wait to see what Farang says when he gets back about this.

I suggest 2: Not enough to make the bottleneck a problem, but enough to prevent the army bonus from being dropped.

I think neutral 2 is reasonable. Gettable, but it'd take a small stack to conquer.

Why not a 1 neutral then? I agree that it would suck to take for a teams game unless it was an easy 1. This would prevent people from dropping on it but at the same time easy to take and easy to get around the bottle neck?

Then make it a 1. Either way.

Here's a question: If you hold the HTMS and four army territories, do you get +6 bonus?

I would like to wait for Farang before deciding that. But as for now just holding any 2 + HTMS you get that bonus.. nothing extra for holding 3 or 4... maybe this is a good idea?

If that's the case -- and it sounds sensible to me -- just maybe make it a tad more clear on the map (like change "hold 2" to "hold 2 or more")

I Tried it, didn't like the look, i really don't think it is that confusing, the key is pretty straight forward to what connects with what, there are only 3 airports... if more people think this is confusing then perhaps we can think of something but i think it is pretty simple.

I think you should still get like +4 for holding all army regions with the HTMS, just cuz after 2, what's the point?

I know, the legend is clear, but visually it is not. That was what I was trying to help do, to make the which-airport-connected-to-what more visually obvious. Maybe this is more of a graphics thing, but I think it should be addressed nonetheless.

cool see what i can do.

As for bringing up the bonus like Victor said, anyone else think that is a good idea? We have it at +2 for holding 2 or more army regions + HTMS, he suggested bringing it up to +4... but you have to remember, in a map like this a +2 bonus can go a long way in a tight team game.

I'd say it works either way. Whichever's your favorite.

Then lets keep it at +3, in a tight game that is seriously more then enough. People WILL fight over it.

But I mean it's only +1 for two more, I think that's reasonable.

Airport directions changed in the key as well as making 2 army regions +HTMS +3 troop bonus and all army regions +HTMS +4 troop bonus.

I know this is graphics but, think you could put a airport logo thing on the big map as well as in the inset.

Like a little mini logo you mean? guess you would want to see the army region as well then?
