Is it me or is it harder to read blue on black than any other color? The Classic map has this problem.. Blue on Europe requires me to be 10 centimeters in front of the screen to see the numbers.

Yes, my screen is properly "calibrated".

OK here are the new pics.

I edited the text:
Territory bonuses are revised

and changed it to

Territory bonuses are adjusted

This edit goes along with the edit Coleman made on the XML to better explain the negative bonuses that players will get for the bonus adjustment in the legend.

Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

I think he might. I mean, it's not that much animation. Let's see what Andy says first.

I don't see why he wouldn't. The large map is only 35kb. Lacks concern was the size of the XML. But we shall see how that works when this goes live.

assuming this is allowed more map makers should consider animation especially in their water

I didn't think GIF's were formats allowed? I thought just PNG's or JPEGS?

The Monkey wrote:Step 2). Image Creation——Create a visual layout of the map in your grahpics program of choice (excluding MS Paint).

* Include a working legend with speculative bonuses, tentative border divisions, names, barriers, colors and textures, aesthetic images (I.E. compasses, picture designs, etc), and background image (I.E. ocean or something to discriminate the playing field).
* A map should be ‘inherently unique either in gameplay, location, or style’ . Maps that aren't just the same tried and true formula from the Classic Map disguised will be more successful.
* A map must provide balanced game play. It should be reasonably clear that the player that draws the first turn does not have a significant advantage, nor should it be likely that any player will be eliminated in the first round of a game.
* Every effort should be made to acquire express written consent for a map based on Copyrighted works. In the event that no response is given by the Copyright holders, the map can still be made, but must consist of completely original artwork.
* Host the image using Photobucket.com or something similar. The type of image file must be PNG, GIF, or JPEG. You must design two versions of the map: a small (up to 600 px wide), and a large (up to 800 px wide). Height must not be any greater than 600px on small maps and 800px on large maps, but it is recommended that you do not exceed 350 px on small maps and 600 px on large maps so that users will not need to scroll down to attack.
* A large map must be noticably larger than their small map, if you must have specifics 9% larger is required but 33.3% (1/3rd) is recommended.

so gif is allowed

Maybe you should make the diamonds sparkle as well as something with the cupcake -- maybe a bite taken out of it -- if those don't add too much to the file size. It does look a little odd when only half the special territories move.

Don't want too much animation. I don't disagree with the diamonds suggestion, or the cupcake, but everything else shouldn't.
