hadaicaped games

Postby Oshida on Sat Feb 07, 2009 6:13 pm

Concise description:
have the opition to play hadicaped games. The hadicaped games could be 2 vs 1 3 vs 2 and so on. If the team loses then they lose half the amount of points they would normaly lose in that match and if the team wins they each get half of what the other person gave. for instance if it's 2 vs 1 and the guy by himself loses 12 points the team members each get 6 points each. If it's odd then the team gets the points rounded down to the nearest divisavle point value. the oponets combined point value will determine how much the single player loses.(the reason being it could limit purposly droping points to two cooks or cadets)

Specifics:
    the ablity to create 2 vs 1, 3vs 2 or 4 vs 3 games.
points lost will determine with combined score then divided by members in the team.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
This will make games more interesting and also could balance out games that normally or would have a private vs. a cornial etc.
this can balance out undar matchs and could be used in tournament games.( for having elemination games fow lower level people)

what in gods name is hadaicaped? or hadicaped? is this a joke.

are you making fun of something here? or are you seriously that illiterate?

i think you should be petitioning for spell check in the posts rather than 2 v 1 games.

the pointing system that suggestion maker suggests is very far from being fair. Think of this that what is the chance of 1 player against 2 players ?
Make an observation, or make an estimation whatever, then you will see the fact that 2 players team will win 9 of 10 games against 1 player. Then pointing system must be evaulated better.

I believe those two posts are making fun of the OP's grammatical skill.

I believe the suggestion is to add uneven games, but make the point gain and loss calculated per team (eg. a team would have its own score, the average of all the players in that team) and that score would be put in the current formula (losers score/winners score) *20

If this is not suggesting the scoring method I just explained, I suggest that this should be used.

i suggest you to have a look again what handicap game will look like...
according to your explanation above, i wud like to give an example...
a team is composed of 3 players... 3 players team has name Team A. Team A players are all majors and all has 2000 points...
b team is composed of 2 players... 2 players team has name Team B. Team B players are all majors again and each player in Team B has 2000 points...

Assume that team B won the game.... according to your suggestion, points gonna be calculated as follows...
2000+2000+2000)/3 = 2000 Team A avarage score (AvSc)
2000+2000)/2 = 2000 Team B avarage score (AvSc)

Because Team B won the game then [ Team B (AvSc) / Team A (AvSc) ] * 20 = 20/20]*20 = 20 points is what team B will get....
Is it what you mean ? If so why should 2 players Team B should play against 3 players Team A ? Simply go play doubles instead it.

You may barely win 1 game in 10 in which you are team A yourself single player against Team B where team B is 2 players team....

If this handicap gaming takes place then the formula should be as follows...

[ ( Sum of Loser Team Players Points / Sum of Winner Team Players ) power 2(or 3) ] * 20
